This did not fix the problem. I had already tried this.

this does not work. this is exactly what I tried (and what the book suggests) Also .. the phone line is "fine." all other phones work on it ... but not this one.

MAKE SURE HAND SET 1 IS IN HANDSET HOLDER 1 AND THAT HAND SET 2 IS IN CRADLE 2. MAKE SURE TO POWER BOTH PHONES OFF AND THEN ON. THEN WITH POWER ON BOTH PHONES LET THEM SIT IN THE CORRECT CRADDLES FOR 30 SECONDS. TEST YOUR CONNECTION BY USING ANOTHER PHONE. ITS A CHEAP WAY TO SEE IF IT IS DUE TO HOUSEHOLD WIRING. GOOD LUCK.

All phones are plugged in and operating but i get a busy signal on all in talk mode

I assumed when you say all phones are operating means there's power and are charging.
1. There could be some phones that are loading the Tel line. Disconnect all phones and plug it one by one while checking the dial tone. If all phones gives busy tone, there coulb be a problem in the Trunk line or the Tel Company line.
2. There could be a short or resistance in the line. Check the connection in junction box between your house and the Tel Company cable.
3. If you have an analog Tel set, you can check the dial tone directly from Tel Company cable that comes in to your house.

I hope this helps.
Best Regards.

KX-TG6441 Phone shows "in

You have a short circuit somewhere...start by unplugging the phone from the phone jack in the wall. Wait 15 minutes or so for the line to clear, then try calling your number from another phone. If you hear a ring, the problem is either in your phone internally, or the cord connecting the phone to the jack (which can be replaced at Radio Shack or similar). BTW, are there other phones in the house? If so, do the same with them one at a time to isolate the problem. If disconnecting all phones (and waiting) doesn't clear the problem you have a short elsewhere, such as house wiring, or the phone jacks. But a busy signal ALWAYS indicates a short... good luck.

Hi, I'm working at a doctor's office where we have the KX-T7731. Whenever someone is speaking on line 1, we cannot hear the ringtone for the incoming calls on line 2 or 3. Since this is a doctor's...

Let's pretend that this is connected to the TA family of phone sytsems. It could be one of 18 different systems, but let's guess.
From the intercom, dial 7311# and 7321# That sets the call waiting on busy for both outside and inside calls and lets the phone "soft ring".

The real question is whether you should have programmed more than one phone to ring, but I'll leave that for another time.

Panasonic KX-TGA101 not working

By jim_giardine on Jan 03, 2010
My parents have had their Panasonic KX-TGA101 for a little over a year and it just stopped working. It no longer rings when a call comes in. Plus when we try to answer a call or place a call all we get is a busy signal both auditory and in the display window.
SOLUTION: you might want to change a new phone line, that's maybe the culprit, most of the time is the phone line is worn out first due to too many reasons.

Hello I have a KX t7730 with 4 lines installed in it. the problem is that if person X phones and i am on the line speaking with person Y, than person X go's into voice mail instead of being "dragged " to a...

My office phone is set to Call Forward No Answer to Voice Mail.

I'm guessing that you are learning the difference between the TA series and the TAW or TDA series. Call waiting is programmed from a CW code dialed into the intercom (ie 7311 or *7311) and call forwarding to VM is programmed by a 71x or 710x or *710x command. In a TD TDA or TAW system, you get CF BUSY, CF NO ANSWER, or CF busy/NA.
In a TA you only get CF ALL, or CF Busy/NA.

So, if someone rings your phone while it's busy, there is no indication, just an immediate forward if that feature is set.

Call receptionist and dont get busy signal

You need to dial two commands on the receptionist's phone. On the intercom dial 7311# for outside line call waiting signals and 7321# for inside calls. (0 cancels).

I bught a kx-ta824, I just have one CO line and i want to put 4 extensions , but i couldn't. I can just recive 1 call and then the line sounds busy.

With one CO line you can only make or receive one external call at a time. You can have extensions connected on intercom calls, but once your CO line is in use, anyone calling in will get a busy signal, as will anyone in the office trying to make an outside call. You'll need additional CO lines if you want to have several outside calls going on at once.

My phone wont jump to the next line

that is up to your telephone service provider. call them and info them off the problem. tell them that you want a busy forward only to line 2. that way after 4 rings it will jump to line 2.

My phone lines keep on crossing!

If you are in a private residence go to the demarcation box and unplug the phone jack that connects the line to your home. Plug your phone directly into the jack which is now looking at the line and has eliminated your house wiring from the circuit. Make an outgoing call and have someone call you back. If the trouble persists, the trouble has just been proven to be on the line which is a phone company problem. Busy signals occure when a short is detected on the line so you may have cable trouble in your area. Thank You. Jerry
