This is what happens when we turn on our alba 32" LCD tv.. This goes on for several minutes before returning to normal.. This happens every time the tv is turned on.. Any solutions?
Problem is with the supply voltage to chorma IC. Contact any service tech: In most cases, some soldering works will be necessary.

SOURCE: TV turns off after short period off time
I have this problem as well-have to keep the house cold enough to keep it on. I also have a box fan blowing into the right side vents (the side OPPOSITE the built-in dvd player). It helps a lot to have the fan there, but if you put the fan on the left side vents you will have much more frequent shut downs.

Try moving speakers away from the TV.

SOURCE: Green screen
Not really sure how much the tv weighs, but I know it is a bunch. I have 2 of these t.v.s. One I bought at Wal-mart and after about 6 months it started doing this green screen also. I would normally give the side of the tv a good wack and it would go back to normal for awhile. The other tv I bought from my neighbor who was moving for $25. The problem with this one was the "no picture but I have sound". If I wacked this one I could get the picture to come back on for a while, but it would go out again. Well just the other day I took the back off the "no picture" tv and was looking around. I noticed that the circuit board that is attached to the picture tube was loose. I pushed it back down on the tube and put it back together and the picture has been fine since. So I thought I would check the one with "green screen" issues and sure enough that circuit board was loose also. Pushed that one all the way back down and have not had any issues with that tv either. Hopefully that fixed my problem, I guess time will tell. Maybe it will fix yours also.

SOURCE: tv keep going on standby when you turn it on
tv goes into standby all the time if a power supply is not fine, what happens is that a power supply produces two voltages, one small one powers a standby components and bigger voltage powers a line transformer which later produces more small voltages,
then later cancels the first small voltage.
chec your power supply semi conductors like, transistors, diodes and small value resistors, on your power supply. some power supply uses a IC to oscillate a ht. so check a supply at a w/shop.
