I have no colour on my standard panasonic television. I am not sure if the problem is the aerial or the tv. It has lines across the screen and is in black and white but will play in colour with a perfect picture on the dvd player. Please help :-)

Re: no colour on television
It is possible that the reason for the black & white as well as lines across the screen is weak, defective or wrong oriented antenna. If you are hooked up to cable, then it should not be a problem as you can call for service; if on the other hand you are using aerial antenna, you can try to: reorient or adjust the direction to where the antenna is pointed until the reception improves, check the lead in wire (cable or flat) for any breaks or shorts or loose connection, check/clean the connection of the antenna elements to the cable/flat wire, replace your aerial/cable as may be deemed fit and needed.
A couple of questions pls if the above does not solve your problem: when receiving from aerial, is the picture full vertically? are you also having problem with sound? If yes, where was the TV bought and where is it being used now? If no, is the image snowy and some channels/stations are better than the others? Good luck and pls post back how things turn up or further information. kind regards.

First, You should to replace by original part, then you should check the voltages on power supply, and check the voltage for vertical IC based on datasheet, also check the voltages on vertical section including yoke and last you should check the ESR capacitors on vertical section.
Optimum reception of colour requires a good signal and will generally mean that an outdoor aerial must be used. The exact type and positioning of the aerial will depend upon your particular area. Your dealer or service personnel can best advise you on which aerial to use in your area. before connecting the aerial cable be sure to turn off all main power switches. in the media recorder you will see an aerial connector one is the input and the other one is the output. your input is the antena and the output goes directly to your tv aerial input.

When i set the TV on it's not open but the red led lights on-off 11 times. In service manual said than the error is in 8v in jungle I.C .That means the jungle IC is off? The 8v comes out from jungle I.C or the power supply? THANKS
At most that I can give you is a generic procedure but should work also in your unit other than the names/terms would probably be a tad different.
Using your remote, press menu, select setup. You may have to select whether you are using cable or aerial. Aerial antenna could be name Air or Std. Normally there would be a search function or add channels or memory + or something like that. Am not sure but you may have a save butoon also but not always.
Hope this gives you some idea. Pls post back how things are or if you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
