Filling The washing machine drum does not seem to fill properly so that very little water is visible in the drum when it washes. As a consequence, wash performance is low and clothes often come out smelling. The machine cannot cope with large sheets.
my LG Intellowasher 8013f sounds same. Even stopping to restart, hoping to at least get every artical wet, is no good.At the 3rd start NO extra water enters. no bubbles in sight either. Being my 1st front loader I just thought "great water saving" but no. A tiny wash is just ok with refills. no wash size options. i don't know. ok thanks, karin my LG Intellowasher 8013f sounds same. hi Jeremy. Why does my washing machine keep filling up with water when not in use?
Ensure that the waste pipe of the washing machine is higher at one point than the drum of the machine, this will prevent water running back into the machine. Normally this would fill the machine with dirty water. Or it could be a faulty water inlet valve, which will fill the machine with clean water.22 Sep 2007
No water that high. But you may have an extra water button that allows you to add slightly more water to each wash load. Water should be just above bottom of inside drum in the back of the drum as it rotates
Every few months, new things are done to improve washing methods. If washing machine is washing clothing cleanly, and no apparant fault code comes up, then it is how the controller is programmed and meant to be.
To javed_iqb904, does the drum actually fill or does it seem like that water is draining out as it's filling?
To neonllama19, if it fills with the tap on and the machine off, it sounds like a defective water valve. If it never stopped filling it sounds like a defective pressure switch or hose to the pressure switch is loose or diconnected.
youll need to replace the water inlet valve, its not seating properly after fill, and continues to leak into machine.part number 8181694. in hte ean time you can turn off water supply to machine inbetween wash loads.A good habit to be in anyway.
