Hi, Based on your post/description, yes you have to download updates for the Pinnacle Video capture card to be able to use it in Windows XP. There are a number of updated files for this device but the most important are the rob_a and the rob_v.sys. To facilitate, allow windows to download from the internet the needed files. Technically not really updates but XP compatible drivers and libraries since soon as you install the card, XP will recognize it as a controller card. Also the software in the original CD installer will not run in an NT/XP environment. I am using InterVideo WinDVD as the capture software. I have two of these units currently installed on 2 separate PCs, one with a TV tuner and no problem so far on either under Windows XP Pro SP2. Good luck and pls post again should you have further concern. Kind regards.

If the driver works in win xp there is no need to upgrade the driver. On the other hand if you need the driver for xp it is here : http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=84546

These drivers at the link are for win xp.

It is better to download the driver, so you'll always have it, with updates you must relay on an external site. What if it goes down?
Benimur you are just confusing Adrija needlessly.
Adrija does not need to know individual system files required for the driver when, they are contained in a driver install.
