I use t9b player for two years and I have never encountered this problem. But if you have access to device memory, you can upgrade firmware to new one.

Vegggie Boy is mistaken. You should press and hold the red record button while pressing the menu button. The player will reset itself to normal operational mode.
Are you plugging into a USB hub or directly to a USB port on the computer? If you are using a hub, try connecting directly to the PC and then let us know how things look.
mine had a horrible glitch with the computer and now its stuck on the connected/charging screen and wont power down and wont change screens!!!!! please someone help me
You can reset the mp3 player by holding down the "menu" button and the "a/b" button together for a few seconds then push the power button and it should turn on. Mine was doing the same thing and this worked.
Samsung has a new version of Media Studio 5 available for download at its Web site. It isn't the exact model version, but seems to work. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=YP-T9BQB&language=&cate_type=all&dType=D&mType=SW&vType=L&prd_ia_cd=03040200&disp_nm=YP-T9BQB
Have you tried connecting it to your computer and attempting a Firmware re-load? There should have been a disc supplied which holds the software that operates your player.
Firmware crashes are quite common on various machines, ans a re-load often sorts it.
How old is the player? Worth checking the manufacturer's website to see if they've updated the Firmware.
