I have a Lexmark all in one, x9350. I bought a #40 photo ink cartridge for it. The pronter doesn't recognize it. I wrote to the Lexmark store but they told me they can't help me. Any suggestions? I bought the cartridge from the Lexmark store. Thanks!
Printer is telling us to check inside the printer for obstruction. This has been checked throughly and after pressing the tick it still will not print and comes up with the same message. The printer worked for two or three times and then it comes up with " check the printer for obstruction" We are unable to clear this message after checking the machine througherly. What solution do we have for this problem. NB It is impossible to contact your company after hours! Email [email protected]

Look in your printer manual or the pc manual for it and check to see if the 40 cartridge is actually compatable with your printer. You may have bought the wrong one. I would complain about the lexmark store to the main lexmark company because not only is that pure ignorance, they have a resposibility to sell the correct gear to customers, and to satisfy consumer rights. Always make sure the cartridges are the right ones first as once open many stores give you hell over replacement even with docket. Keep all dockets until next replacement (i stick mine to side of printer!) If it is the right cartridge, you may have a dud, in which case the store has to take it back, demand it!, or you may have to clean your heads with printer program or manually with solution and cotton buds (q-tips)

This might ba an issue with the cartridge holder in which its not recognizing inks or inks are defective. Call Epson for cartridge replacement is reinstalling of inks doesn't work.
Make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. If you are, try updating the firmware of your printer. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.
Reseat the printead again and the cartridges then reboot the printer. If it doesn't help, try replacing the cartridge.
After changing your cartridges, just press the check button. Once cartridge(s) ink levels are recognized, the printer should then continue to receive and print the fax temporarily stored in the memory.
hmmm this s the prb in u r printer settings...u jus give a print test after fixing the new cartridges...then if it works then there no prb in cartridges...or else there s dust in the printing rod...u jus want to giv the printer for service so that they will clean the motor of the printer and u r printer s set for working...cool!!!!
Canon printers and cartridges have their own chip that recognized the presence of original ink, either the ink you bought is not compatible or the printer need to be reset
I logged into Lexmark's web site and checked their printer support page. It said that if you get error message 1203 your ink cartridge has leaked fluid. In order to find the right cartridge, do the following. Remove both ink cartridges, put in one, turn off the printer, turn it back on and if you get the message 1203 that's the cartridge with the problem. I did not get that message. I turned off the printer, put in the other cartridge, and turned it back on. Sure enough, I got the 1203 message again. (I had cleaned the wrong cartridge before). I removed the leaky cartridge, cleaneded it (making sure I did not leave any residue) and put it back in the printer. It worked!
Before you insterted them, did you ensure any tape was removed from the cartridge? Most have a yellow tape that must be peeled off first. It wil be clearly labelled that it is supposed to be pealed. If it doesn't show any sign asking to be removed, then it may be a different issue.
Try reseating the ink again ensuring it clicks in place.
