Printer Lexmark Z600 Problem please help!!!

Try to clean the print cartridge nozzles. On your computer, go to Start menu > All Programs / Programs > Lexmark Z600 Series > select Lexmark Solution Center. From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a clean test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them. Try to print your document again and to check if print quality is achieved.

Specs say 10PPM black and 8PPM color in quick mode.

If you use higher resolution it will be reduced accordingly.

That is for a Z601, but the 600 should be the same.

When going for downloads the page links to Z612. The listings for the downloads on the linked page however are for the Z600 series.

Custom driver for XP should be the CJXP600LE.exe. Use this link to download the driver [allow pop ups having the download to come up]:

After download run the execute file to have it unpacked: the installation will start right away.

sounds like a dogy usb cable try a nother usb cable before you give up

You may have corrupted driver files for printer, try uninstalling printer from pc and reinstalling. This should correct the problem.

my lexmark printer does this, i removed the ink cartridges and then put them back in ,it pops up a box asking about the cartridge, i then told it it was a new one it was then happy , i find the printer very tempremental......but thats another story, good luck , hope this works for you!
