I have Fujifilm FinePix A360, and I couldn't find where to put the paper. I tried several different places, but none of them seemed to work. I have the same problem...the green light goes on, then immediately goes back off. The screen begins to turn on, and then turns off. Any help with explaining the aforesaid solution, or any other way that I could try? I have Fujifilm FinePix A360, and I couldn't find where to put the paper. Open up the battery compartment and look at the latch. You should see a small arm on the latch right above the words "Size AA HR 3UF/LRG" . If the arm is broken then it will not engage the actuator on the camera. The actuator is located in front of the memory card to the left of the "push to eject" decal. I took a tooth pick and pushed into the hole to permanently engage the actuator. Hope this help. It fixed my camera
This camera has a security switch in the battery door maybe the actuator for activate it, is broken you can block this switch with a paper or somethingh this switch is located in the battery cover ok. I had a camera with same problem aftet block the switch it work ok.
Thanks to this info, I can use my camera again! :) There's a picture on page 10 of the manual the shows that little arm clearly. You can see it in the instructions for replacing the XD card. I cut the end off of a plastic floss pick and bent it around like the original arm to fit into the slot. A clear view of the tiny slot is shown on Page 10, picture 2 (battery loading)Thanks to this info, I can use my camera again! :)

That was great. I did what you said and it worked great. I didn't noiced the broken latch on the door. Put a small piece of paper in the hole and SHAZZM it worked. Thanks, You da BOMB!!
I didn't realize that lr6/alkaline batteries were needed, so hopefully that will fix my problem and makes sense w/new AA batteries that I was getting low reading when it did decide to turn on. cheers.

A charging battery's light is red. If it turns green then it means it is fully charged. Since you had stored your battery for a while, try to charge it by using a battery charger to kickstart it. It should work. Whatever transpires let me know. thanks and rate this answer.
Hi, if you are using the KLIC-5000 battery try to clean the metal contacts on the battery. Try also to remove the battery of your camera dock your camera on the docking station then turn on the camera, if the camera will not turn on it means the charging mechanism of the dock is defective. Now if the camera turns on it means the battery is defective that is why you can charged it.
Red light indicates that the camera is out of charged., Try to charged your battery for 3-4 hrs if you encounter flashing red on a fully charged battery you need to call kodak 1 800 235 6325 ext 12
You can charged you camera using 5V AC Adaptor or a USB cable taht attached into the computer
The battery might just be done or warn out, if you get lights when you turn the key on, and can honk the horn and everything, then it should click, if you are able to honk the horn and lights etc. and they aren't real weak, when you hit the starter it should tick, if your lights are bright and horn is loud and brake light responds quickly, then I'd ask a Harley dealer about it.
Try the following: 1). Check batteries whether they are fully charged. 2). Check with Battery terminal are clean. You can clean them with a ear bud using some alcohol or spirit. Wipe the battery terminal with a clean dry cloth. 3). confirm that the memory car slot/battery cover is securly closed. 4). Reload the battery several times. This will also remove poor contact between camera and battery terminals. 5).Check battery are loaded in the correct direction.
If the probem persists, you might need to take it to the service center.
I have this exact same problem with my camera. My problem wasn't with the lens or the battery, but the camera's connection to the battery. When I pushed the batter all the way in, I was able to turn the camera on. Right now, I have a tiny folded up peice of paper inside, pushing the battery up more inside. This is my quick fix since I am going to a concert!! If you are in a pinch, try this.
