I've tried all sorts of things, wasted huge time on downloading programmes that are 'guaranteed' to work .... but I find the best thing is to email them to yourself direct from the cell!
Select Multimedia / Pictures. Scroll to the pic you wish to send and select View to bring up the selected pic. Tab into Pictures Menu and select Send In Message / OK. This brings you into your Contact addresses. Select your own email address (having previously set it up) / Add / Send.
This is cumbersome cos you have to do them one by one, but at least it works - for me!
I don't know anything about a disk, but I got my pic off my phone with a usb cable and my computer recognized it. I run with Media xp. Now on my older PC I just sent the pic to my t-mobile account and them sent them to my photo ablum. It's a drawn out process and take more time then the cd, but like I said I never got a disk with my phone neither. I hope this helped

w377(v3 razr) when you plug it into a usb slot, open the phone, it should ask if you want to connect your phone as a storage device, select yes and your computer should synk with it automatic.no added software required this has worked with my new laptop (vista home premium) and my old desktop(XP Professional)

I bought motorola phone tools v5 off ebay yesterday for $2.99. Works fine with my Vista. Phone is a Razr V3
Go to motorola.com, select your phone, and then click owner support. on the left hand side it will say software and downloads, click that. then, choose the type of downloading type you want. hook up you phone, and it should be downloading!
I also have the same problem with downloading pictures from my RAZR V3 to my computer. It also states that I need a disc but it never came with my purchase of the phone. Can someone give me answers on this without making more purchases.

EUREKA got the solution to my own problems! through browsing on the
forums in here and experimenting on the softwares. we had the same
problem and YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE DIME! Motorola didn't really included any disk which should have helped its consumers. darn!
download the MOTO RAZR V3 usb driver software (or your specific mobile phone model) from nodevice.com.

then download your MPT or mobile phone tools software online, search through yahoo and google in quotes.
plug in your phone through the usb cable (any brand of cable). the PC
will pop the message "found new hardware" you browse the folder where
you have saved your usb driver software you've just downloaded. then
click next. woohoo!
afterwhich, as the PC have recognized the device. open your MPT
software that you should have also installed on your PC after
downloading them. the software will react to configure it to your
device, if this part fails, click on (on the phone model thingy that
should appear on your computer screen) MENU>SETUP>NEW PHONE then
follow the instructions, it should automatically initialize your phone.

There is a CD called Motorolla Phone Tools that installs the software that lets your computer get pictures off your phone (and back up your phone book and other things). The problem is, the CD doesn't work in Vista and apparently Motorolla has no plans to do anything about it. They're basically saying, screw you Razr owners, go buy a new phone.
