Im trying to find out what windshield suction UNIDEN LRD6499SWS

Im trying to find out what windshield suction mount i can use for this radar detector. the parts seem not to be around, and they keep referring me to bel or cobra.I DO
HAVE THE UNIDEN LRD6499SWS RADAR/LASER DETECTOR.

Don't use this radar detector. It is horribly outdated technology and will lead to a speeding ticket. I am not joking.

Where do I mount my radar detector?

The unit comes with a windshield mount - assemble the bracket ( if needed) and secure to a location on the windshield. Make sure its above the wipers and not behind any metal. Once installed, make sure that the radar detector is LEVEL WITH THE ROAD! This may require bending the bracket to level the unit. (Note: remove detector while adjusting the bracket).

The button on top of the escort 8500 that attaches the suction cups to the main unit (for the purpose of sticking it on the windshield) is stuck/broken and will not successfully attach so my radar detector...

Where can i buy a windshield suction mount for a fb 3500

First this is not a Whistler made radar detector - it was made by Fuzzbuster. With that said, you might be able to use a Whistler bracket. If you know of someone that has a Whistler radar detector, try to see if your unit will work with it. If so, then you can call 800-531-0004 to order a windshield bracket or order it on Whistler's website - www.whsitlergroup.com

Calibrating my cobra radar detector

I dont know of any radar detectors that need to be calibrated. To calibrate the radar, you would need a source of RF energy like a radar gun and a ton of specialized equipment.
Just turn it on, place it up high enough on the windshield or dash so that it has a clear "view" of the road. Suction mounts on windshields get the detector higher and it offers you a better view and an earlier warning as it can "see" over the hill better.

Windshield mounting clip

The front of the detector has a small **** in it about an inch wide and a couple mm tall. the tab on the suction cup mount slides into this **** on the front of the detector.
