Washer not spinning

I know I've seen thi in here before, but I want to know if anyone has any new suggestions...my Kenmore Series 90 is filling and agitating beautifully, but come spin time, it still sounds like it wants to spin, but does not. I've heard things about belts and couplers, but I looked inside the thing and i don't see anything worth fixing. Help anyone?

There is a coupler between the drive motor and the tub that costs around $4.00 could be broke or worn out. Also the clutch could be not working...tis is in the same location as the coupler(I'm replacing both at the cost of $30.00 minus my labor)the first three numbers of your serial no. denote the manufacturer...make sure you get the correct part.Kenmore is a marketing name only.Sears does not make their own appliances.Hope this helps.

Not too sure on these makes of washer but all washers either have carbon brushes on the motor locatable by having a wire going too them on either side of the motor will only be 2 carbon brushes on the motor or they have a module which is a small circuit board about 4inche in length if this washer has a module find out how much it is first because it is sometimes cheaper to replace your washer m8 thats all the information you need for this certain problem common fault

Hi,
It sounds like you have a bad timer. If you change the position of the timer and it does not change what is going on the the timer has to be bad. However I am not certain what you mean by the agitator turns all the time. Is it agitating while spinning and draining?

90 series Kenmore washer won't spin

I have had this happen on a Kenmore in the past, and it was the motor coupling. It is a plastic part, and if it cracks your washer will not spin anymore. If you have the repair parts list, or can find it online, you will find the part I am referring to. Good luck.
