Question about British Telecom DIVERSE 6150 Twin Cordless Phone

BT 6110 and BT Response 75 won't work together

I have just connected a BT Diverse 6110 DECT phone to an existing BT Diverse 75 answer machine. In this configuration the 6110 doesn't appear to see the external line as I can't make or receive external calls. to the caller, the external call appear to be ringing, but the new 6110 doesn't ring. The call does get answered by the Response 75 answer machine after 4 rings as expected. When I replace the 6110 with an old C&W desktop phone, calls get through to the C&W phone. When I connect the external line to the 6110 directly (ie not via the Response 75) then it works fine and I can make and receive external calls. Are the BT Response 75 and the BT 6110 DECT incompatible or is there a fault with one ?

I think the internal ringer is a default and cannot be changed, but the external ringer can be changed.

you can get a double socket that goes into the wall where the line comes in. if that helps and you can get an adapter with 2 outlets on a short cord that goes into any socket. try B&Q

SOURCE: landline phone isn't ringing when receiving calls.

If it's a Panasonic, go to Handset Setup - ringer setup - night mode - ensure it is off - because this is one way of having a good night's sleep!

Sounds to me like a microphone issue. Try contacting the Cellular Dr./ Cell Phone Dr. , or Cell Phone Repair.com. They both do excellent work as far as cellular phones go. I am a Satellite Phone Technician, although I have done alot of Cell phone service and repair as well. Your BT response 75 has 2 built in responses depending upon whether it is set to Ansaphone or Answer only. How to do it is all clearly described in the manual which can be downloaded from here:

and saved to your computer for future reference. It is in pdf format and can be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The page you require for reading about the outgoing message is p11 of he manual, which is p13 of the pdf file.

No Dial Tone from BT Diverse 7110 Single

Check that the volume on the handset is turned up, also replace the batteries or put in non-rechargeable ones to get the phone working at full capacity. If bought from Amazon you should be guaranteed for a year, not a month!

If you click on the above , go to p.11,12 on setting the volume .

I agree with everything you say the only thing I can add is you may not be setting the volume correctly see note on p12.

try this
press the menu button
select answering service scroll down until you get global , press menu button scroll down until you get vwmi press menu button move to yes , click menu then end that should put the light off
