Proscan was one of the American brand divisions of Thomson Consumer Electronics, with products competing with higher-end electronics. The ProScan name is owned by RCA. If you need more information on Thomson, please let me know. This should Fixya!

When Thompson Electronics owned the RCA TV Brand ProScan TV's were made in Bloomington Indiana and Indianapolis Indiana. Today a Chinese company owns them. Here is a link to ask.com with more information.

The model doesn't exist. All question need
'make model (what it is)', first 3 words and in that order.

"channel button". is it a television? Reset would be in Settings / General. You have the Remote? All sets need a Remote.

Have a plcd3992a proscan tv. It cuts on says proscan then disappears. What to do ?

I'd recycle the set and buy a better brand like LG, Samsung ect. Proscan TVs are plagued with problems and in most cases not worth repair

I was given a proscan tv HDMI. I need to get a power cord and a remote for it. I do have the serial number.

Hi,
If you have the model number of that Proscan TV, you will likely find the original remote for that at www.remotes.com. They don't have power cords for TVs, but they do have Proscan remotes.

I need the code to program this remote to my proscan tv

Check these codes. These are setup codes for Proscan brand TVs with GE universal remote control. If you wish to know more codes and setup proceedings to different other brand TVs, check this link.

3 light x-lines across TV screen

From elsewhere on the web:

"Proscan used to be the RCA high-end trademark; RCA (at least the TVs) was purchased by Thomson; they leased the proscan name to a Korean outfit that has the TVs made in China.
I've never owned a Proscan (post RCA)... but the internet buzz is that they are of inferior quality and that it's virtually impossible to get support in the USA. I would qualify that: Costco is selling Proscan TVs; they extend the warranty by one year (to two years); and if you have a problem, ya got Costco behind you. So I guess unless you buy one at Costco, you should pass"

Perhaps you need to contact the entity at which you purchased the television.

Replacing remote for Proscan 15" LCD HDTV

Most universal remotes work on a small portion of TVs in the market place. And if it does work, they are limited. Because the universal remote cannot control the full functions of the TV.
Like menus, screen modes, close captions, and etc.
Best thing to have is the original remote.
If you need to find one, let me know. I know a few good web sites. I just need the model number of your TV.

I hope I answered your questions. Please rate me. :)
