Question about Samsung HL-P4667W 46" Rear Projection HDTV

No picture on my Samsung HL-P4667W

When I push the button on the remote or the TV itself, the lamp light flashes and the lamp does come on. There is no picture and I cannot access the menu and the screen remains blank while the lamp light flashes. When I push any button on the remote the tuner light on the front of the TV flashes but nothing happens. Normally I can see the Component 1 or 2 and the other display choices in the upper left hand of the screen. Also if the signal is low there will be a display on the screen. I get nothing. After a few minutes the lamp light stops flashing and the lamp itself in the TV turns off. The standby temp light on the front of the TV is on all the time. Thanks for any help Mike One Rev

Same problem but with a smaller TV T1953H - - hardly used the TV and still issues! Sometimes we leave it on for 15 min or so with a black screen and it pop on. Other times, when I finally get a no signal warning, I hit source, sometimes it comes on, other times it does not. Did anyone find a solution or the cause? Thanks.

tv won't turn on. "Lamp" light flashes strangely. The TV has been acting a bit strange for a week or so. The color got progressively darker and now the TV won't turn on at all. I can hear the sound through the stereo so I know I'm getting a cable signal but the TV won't turn on to show the picture.

Exact problem, lamp comes on, no picture, lamp light flashes.

remove the lamp and with a light and or mirror look where the front of the lamp faces--there is a color wheel there--if it is shattered or damaged the set will not come on--most of these sets have a high pitched whine or grinding noise if this happens---the wheel is available on the internet and a moderate job to replace--I have seen lots of them bad---if you want an idea of what it looks [email protected] Steve

Have picture lose picture tv turns off and on

the lamp has a life cicle. if yours is been used a lot. then the lamp has to be changed. when the tv cannot turn on steady and gets off imm. the computer inside the tv tries to turn off the set but the lamp charges again and the micro tends to keep working. the first step to take in this tv is to change the lamp to eliminate this common source of problems

No picture or sound after replacing lamp

Possible bad color wheel...

Pull the lamp out & look inside where the lamp sends the light-

does the color wheel look defective? If so,replace it.

Or, the lamp ballast may be bad. After that, usually replace

complete engine.
