RCA HD52W59 HD Projection TV purchased around Feb 06. Yesterday, after watching TV for approx 10 min. the pic/sound just shut down. The unit has power as confirmed by the green light when pushing the power button. The green light flickers and I can hear a "humming/whining" type noise as if the unit is trying to start up, but after a few seconds - the green light goes off without successful start up. Help - I'm 50 miles from the closest RCA service center. I know it's the TV, not the wall outlet, as I've used that outlet for other appliances with no problem since. Could the TV be damaged from a power surge??? Is this something I can repair myself? Is there a schematic avail? Thanks in advance for your help.
This is very possibly a power surge, can you tell me how many times the light blinks, you probably have a bad power board now if you had a power surge.
