Sony trinitron i have a sony trinitron model kv-35s42 with no picture. i do have sound. before the picture went completely black, if i let the tv warm up for 10-15 minutes the picture would come on. what do i need? is it worth my time to repair? thank you [email protected]

I have a Sony FD Trinitron Wega Model KV-27FV310 TV. As I was watching it a straight horizontal white line appeared completely in the middle of the set, resulting in the top half being completely black...

The set has a vertical deflection problem, the vertical ic and a few capacitors will need to be replaced to restore the tv to normal function.

Your vertical IC will need resoldering. If you can take this board out and inspect the pins under the vertical IC, you will see rings around the IC. This is a common problem for you model of TV. Hope this helps...show a few hands of support.

My Trinitron KV-35S42 picture folds up.

Hi this fault due to a capacitor in the frame (field) output stage going low value / the one to look for is a 680uf 63v ( might be 50v) it is mounted to the right of the frame out put ic.Hope this will help regards, windyhouse.

check the heater as your tv is ON, there must be a yellow light at the rear of the CRT tube. If the heater is ok then check the IC jungle side. resoldering the leads sometimes will solve. If not refer to your local Tech.

Sony Wega Triniton KV-32FS100 TV

For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5 consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and everything that is suppose to be black is green.

I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.

TV Sound through stereo speakers while watching tv.

All the above connected method is correct. Need to change the option in the stereo system as md or auillary depends upon the model. Go through user manual for stereo system.

Screen went BLACK!

My Sony FD Trinitron TV did samething, started flashing, then eventually went completely black with volume. I got on internet searched found a solution, i tried it, it worked. unplug tv, remove all screws, remove back. towards bottom right theres a transmitter with a couple of knobs, we plugged tv in and moved knobs around and it worked. Also was extremally dusty, we used computer duster for a better connection. hope it helps you

Our Sony Trinitron Model KV-35S42. Serial 9030997 turns on and works fine for a couple minutes then the screen turns white with horizontal lines for a couple minutes then shuts off by itself. The sound is not affected when the screen turns white.
