Question about HP Pavilion a420n PC Desktop
On some HP computers, there is a built-in recovery console. Repeatedly press the F10 key when you first power it on, and it may automatically let you go to the option, and re-install the OS from the hard disk. Check and see if there is a sticker with the 25-character license code on a sticker on the tower. You will probably need it. If that doesn't work, check to see if any system recovery disks were included with the unit. If neither work, the best thing is to buy a copy of the OS you want installed.

The hard drive is either broken or missing. The hard drive must be replaced and windows needs to be reloaded before the system will work.
