Just recently my printer has begun leaving what looks like smears of color along the entire length of any printed document. It started when I replaced my Cyan toner...then things that had no blue color (specifically) our logo, started having a faint blue background. We calibrated...same problem. Yesterday I replaced my black toner and now I am getting long lines that look like ladders all along my papers. I have tried calibrating, cleaning and pulling out my hair. Any suggestions?
Do you use original genuine cartridges or refilled ones. It sounds like you have had a leak and need to completely clean out your printer heads, rollers and perhaps do a deep claean as well. You can buy faulty cartridges and toners that have one leak, then the ink continually leaves traces as it prints. When you say callibrated, do you mean you ran print tests and setting tests. Running a print test can often help to diagnose ink issues an d narrow the results down a bit. After a thorough clean, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling unit.

I will get back to you at a later date on cheaper solutions, but for now, i would suggest a manual deep clean with proper cleaning solution, down where the toners contact the printheads and the rollers too. Clogs are notorious for leaving ladders and mucky colours. clean the toner heads too if necessary, as some machines cartridges actually have the printheads on the cartridge (mine does). I was also hoping your unit has a deep cleaning setting as well in the menu or on the pc icon for your printer. If so, run this too.

I did perform the print quality tests without success. I use remanufactured toner. Any recommendations on a reliable, less expensive, way to supply toner for this machine. OEM cartridges cost about $500. We empty this machine pretty regularly. That's just too much. Can a deep cleaning be performed by the end user? If so, where do I find the directions for that? I appreciate your help.
