Wondering if you could give me some advice on my Sony DSC P100. After my camera suffered a bit of pressure when I fell asleep on it with it in my pocket on a bus the shooting screen has been a bit glitchy. Everything with the camera seems to work fine except for the shooting screen, which is black until I hit a button like MENU at which point the shooting screen works fine until I take a picture or switch off the MENU. Then it returns to darkness--a blank screen. This would only be a bit inconvenient but useable except I like to use the manual "M" mode, which is quite difficult if not impossible with this blank-screen glitchiness. Is there a way to get a repair manual for this camera? Do I need a new LCD or is it an issue of the connection between the LCD and something else? It seems like such a minor problem should be able to be fixed by a simple solution or repair, not one that would cost hundreds of dollars.. though I'm up for any repair suggestion. What's the next step I should take?
Seems like something is crushed internally a connector perhaps- A repair manual -Huh! They don't even repair them. Live with it or buy another But try Sony customer support- you will see what I mean
