Get a new one I am afraid or spend the money to get it repaired. The mp3 needs to be repaired or replaced as dropping it breaks certain parts on the inside of the player. Hope This Helps MichaelAHill

Have sony nw-a3000 20GB walkman with sound in right channel only can you help

do you wrap your headphones around the mp3 player?? If you do, you may have damaged the headphone socket. I did it to my Ipod and had to get a new one. The oher problem might be that you've damaged the earphone cable, try putting them into another device e.g. your computer. If they work fine, its your headphone socket. If they dont work, you'll need new headphones

Headphone jack does not make a good connection

I have a couple of these players and have found that some headphones do this and some do not, maybe try a different pair and see if they fit any better, if the player is new you could think about returning it.

It sounds like the volume button got wet and now the contacts inside are corroded enough that they dont make contact anymore.. can you remove the 2 screws under the little sticker on the back and open it up? - If so and you can clean them that sounds like the problem.

The songs i put on my mw3847 sound horrible

There might be an issue with your headphones. Are you using the same headphones with both players? If not, buy new headphones. If so, your port might be going out.

SOund Interferance

I have a similar problem. If you put a bit of pressure on the top right corner of the mp3 player (i.e.: clamp it between a couple of your fingers) the sound becomes fine again. However, in my case, the problem eventually became worse, up to the point where I couldn't hear anything at all. I think you'll need to get it serviced to fix the problem. I'm sorry I can't help more than this. Adam
