1320tn - network cable link light does not turn on. I have changed cables, turned off power, held down reset button and nothing works. Also, network config will not work when pressing in reset button. ...

Take a breath, relax. The link light means that you have established a connection with whatever is at the other end of the network cable. You omitted that info. If the printer is connected to a switch, try a different port. If the printer is connected to a router and you have a free port, connect it there. If the printer is connected to a PC, that port could be bad. If you have another printer, try plugging it into the PC. As long as you don't have the handshake between PC and printer you won't see any IP address. I'm not familiar with the 1320. Saying that, I believe that the network interface is on the formatter board. And yes that could be bad. Doesn't the 1320 have a USB port? Have you tried that.
Before you spend any money, try connecting the printer to a different PC or a laptop. If it works, your printer is not the problem. If it still fails, call for service, because the formatter will need replacing.

The print spooler is not working on my dell inspiron 530. I have tried to start it, but it will not start. Help!!!!!

Have you gone to start, settings printers and faxes, right click on the printer in question, click on the advanced tab and click next to "spool document so it prints faster"? You will need to do this on the computer connected to the printer. Computers that are connected thru a network won't be able to make this change.

Let me know if this information is helpful.

I have a Panasonic KX FLB881 MFC Laser Printer purchased in 2/09. Problems started about 60 days ago. Incoming fax calls ring and ring and the unit will not pick-up. Shortly thereafter network...

The printer has gone into cascade failure, it would require circuit boards to be replaced and with the history I would use it strictly as a printer. The cost of repair would put you over the price you originally paid for the unit, and as you pointed out the mechanics of the item is still fine, I agree with the fact use it until it breaks down.

Use of HPJ4680 in a network with Mac & PC connected to router

Ok what you do is, install the printer as a LOCAL one on one of the PC's, Probably the XP, one, would be best. or perhaps the PC; actually "Connected" to the D-link router & Modem, then Now install this printer , as a LOCAL, printer, and set as DEFAULT, enable Printer Sharing. Now, ALL PC's MUST, have a Name, Belong to the same Workgroup, have a Password. On the "Other" PC's Install the Printer as a Network Printer, browse for it and connect. Print a test page from each. Remember the PC with the printer attached, must obviously be ON or the "Others" cannot connect and print.. Make sure all network permissions are set sharing is set, especially on the Win 7. Just make sure they can all "See" each other first, before try all this.. the network MUST be intact and communicatable from each PC to at least the PC with the printer attached. AFTER SP3 installed network printer not working

You should go into Start>Printers and Faxes, write down the exact printers that you have (including server name or IP address) and then delete them by right-clicking on each printer and removing it. Once they're gone, add them back by using the Add Printer wizard or by browsing the network to find them and re-connect them. Since you specify that the network printers aren't working, I'm guessing that local (USB, parallel) printers still work properly. This would rule out the local print spooler, and since you didn't mention that everyone else can't print, it's probably not the print server either.

What are the step for setting up you computers to a network using a Linksys router. I have a 2 PC's and a laptop that I would linke to net work together. My first computer is connect to the Wireless-B...

Hi Ed, if your using windows you can open network connections & run network setup wizard. Follow the instruction for a home network for the wireless PC's & notebooks. Once the network is setup for all PC's than you can install the printer cd software in the PC's that you want to access the printer. Each PC & notebook will have access to the printer through the network.
The PC that that is connected to the printer needs to be shared.
Open printers and Faxes. Right click once on the printer & left click sharing. Agai follow the instructions.
Lastly,I strongly suggest you setup security for your wireless. If you do not anyone close can tap into your network connection. Follow linksys instruction to setup security. If you run into a problem you can call linksys for free advise from a pro. Their number is listed in the manual.
