My cordless G E 6.0 phone will not let me use the talk button sometimes. It just goes beep beep. I have to unplug it from the wall and the phone line on the base before I can use it. What is causing it to do this? It happens about once a day. I too have lost my manuel and the box was thrown away

Go to Settings > SOUND > Silent mode (No sounds except media and alarms). If this is ticked (on), it means umts smartphone alarm will sound even if you make the phone silent. Regarding the loud sound even after reducing ringer volume, no idea for this.
1. Remove the AC adapter plug from the back of the base unit (not from the wall); leave tel cord connected.
2. While holding down the "set code" button under the cassette lid, plug the ac adapter back into the base. The screen will then display some numbers (110) etc.
3. Hold down the HANDSET keys 1 and 2 simultaneously and then press the speaker button on top within 20 seconds.
4. Press any 3 digits on the handset i.e. 1-2-3.
5. After hearing a BEEP from the handset and base, press 2 on the handset. The base should then say "twenty-five", and the handsets will beep, confirming the new security code is enabled. Press talk or speaker on handset to confirm communication.
6. The time/day stamp and remote access code will be cleared.
7. Best to do this with the answering mach turned off.
8. Restart this procedure if anything goes wrong (may hear a series of error beeps).
I saved my manual and in it I had a fax Casio sent me with these instructions (i had this prob a few times years ago). Good luck!
The problem is in the main base, the cordless phone is unable to communicate with the base because it has stopped working that is why you are getting the four beeps. It is more cost effective to replace the complete phone system than repair. The only other possibility "and it is long short" unplug the power and the phone line cord from the wall and let it sit at least 30 minutes, this might reset the processor ic and get your system working again.
You have interference due to the DSL overlapping your phone line its usually very common, make sure you have a DSL filter inline with your phone line , if not I would check out the RJ-45 jack in the wall, your phone jack and make sure that there isnt anything wrong with your Jack, you may have to call your phone company and have the phone tech's check out your wall Jack for any interference, they have special phone line meters to measure all this out.
Unplugged wall unit from the 110 volt outlet and the phone line from the unit for about 10 or more minutes. The phone worked after the phone line was reconnected and the wall unit plugged back in.
Dont know which solved the problem but I suspect it might have been unpluging from the 110 which could have reset the wall unit.
Sounds like a defective handset or base unit. Unplug the base unit from power and the telephone jack. Leave unplugged for 1 minute, this sometimes helps the phone to reset from a problem. Unplug the battery from the handset and plug back in after a minute also to help reset. Place your handset in the base unit for about 1 minute to allow the handset to link up with the base unit. If this doesn't work you may have a defective phone. Contact Panasonic support for further information if this does not work.
Have you tried unplugging your base station and all the handsets?
Sometimes the base station, where the power and the telephone line plugs into needs a reset. Just like a computer sometimes it needs a reboot.
If problem presists, take a regular analog phone and plug it in to the same jack as the cordless phone bas station, and see if it is a cable issue/ telephone company issue.
I had the same problem. To fix it, I unplugged the base from the wall, and the battery from the handset, left it all unplugged for 30 seconds, and then replugged everything back in. It works fine now.
This exact thing happened to me. Same model number. No matter what I did, the new handsets would not register.
The solution? Reset the entire system: 1. On the BASE - Unplug from wall both power and phone line. Unplug battery from base handset. 2. ON the Extension phone - unplug from wall and unplug battery from handset. 3. Wait AT LEAST 5 minutes. 4. Plug back in BASE power. 5. Plug back in BASE phone line. 6. Plug back in EXTENSION handset battery. Don't plug in BASE handset yet. 7. Follow steps to program EXTENSION. When successful: 8. Plug back in BASE handset battery.
