Re: lexmark X5250 PAPER WONT AUTO-FEED
Very pesty!!! Ok, it may be a paper feeder issue. It could be a partially jammed roller or carriage, open up unit as if you were to change cartridge, use a torch to check for the tiniest paper block or foreign material. You would be surprised what can fall or accidenatlly get in them...funny that, i just cleared a tiny piece of toddler debris from my lexmark, and i missed it the first time. Also, paper sensors can start to go and die, hope it is not this!!! as it will need replacing if it is. If it is printing, it may also be too much info from pc to printer. Does it only do this at certain times or all the time? Try clearing the print jobs memory by printing a small document but click on print icon and choose cancel all print jobs. Wait until it does. Try printing again. Also open notepad as if you were to print it, right click on file and print, and check if printer says ready...indicating it is functioning status. this can help diagnose problems sometimes it will give you an error code or message you need.

HP P4515n is not a duplex printer by default. It is a network printer. ('n' suggests it is a network printer. Duplex printers have 'd' in the model number). If you want to print both sides, manually feed sheet by sheet. Or else you can do the following: If you are using, say MS Word, print only the odd pages (Print the normal way. No need to manually feed paper). Then arrange the printed papers in the proper order and keep the printed side as back side. Insert the set of papers in the printer and print only the even pages. First print a document of about 6 pages to get the hang of it.
Dears eveenz, It seems that paper feed roller of your printer is broken. This part is integrated in drive assy. You need to replace drive assy of the printer in order to feed the paper properly. I plan to discuss this topic at Inkjet Printer Forum since I cannot post image more than 150 kb here. Explanation with image will make you know more easily. . Switch off the
printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge
inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or
any metal tools inside the chassis.
2. Pin down the exact
location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet
completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and
print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.
3. Take off the front
paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the
printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.
4. Pull the sheet with
both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper,
leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.
5. Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.
6. Use the carriage
access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to
remove the print carriage to get to the jam.
7. Replace all parts and
return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug
your printer back in and flip the power switch.
