I'm not sure how it happened but i've just come to realize that my camera (Casio EXIMIL EX-Z700)has a crack on the screen. It still turns on and takes pictures. When i turn it on the screen turns white except for the center of the crack on the top right courner which turns black with rainbow swirls (about the size of a penney). All the buttons and the picture process still seems to work. Is it posible to replace the screen and if it is, where can i take it and what is it going to cost. I live in Southern California, in the Los Angeles Area..
i dont know what happened but i think the plasma or something else in the screen broke but my camera is also white with a black cirle in the middle with like rainbow mixed in. in the bottom rigth corner its fine but the rest of the screen is totally broken. is there a way i can fix it with out it costing alot or having to buy a new camera?? mine isnt a ex-z700 its an ex-s600i dont know what happened but i think the plasma or something else in the screen broke but my camera is also white with a black cirle in the middle with like rainbow mixed in. in the bottom rigth corner its fine but the rest of the screen is totally broken. is there a way i can fix it with out it costing alot or having to buy a new camera?? mine isnt a ex-z700 its an ex-s600

There is a guy in South Carolina who sells used parts for all the Casio Cameras. I think he charges $39.00 for LCD's. I got one and it works perfect. I think his email is [email protected]

No. You need to plug the camera into the cradle and plug the cradle into a wall outlet. Connecting the camera to the computer merely drains the battery faster, as the camera has to spend juice communicating (or trying to communicate) with the computer, even if only to say it has nothing to say.
Normally changing the battery solves this.Make sure you replace it with a good quality new battery and make sure it goes in the right way around as when you get in a flap it often ends up in the wrong way!

The only way to fix a lens error is to send it into repairs. Call them at 800-706-2534 option 2 and they will tell you the closest place to send it to.
If you have a memory card installed take that out before powering on. If your screen is frozen then you would have to send it into repairs to have that fixed.
If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.
Can't repair by yourself. It's need repair camera machine shutter.
Casio hasn't made those public that I know of. We tried to get ahold of those in tech support and they wouldn't give them to us there. You have to send it in as far as I know. Sorry.
