Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

I push the on button and the screen flashes for a second and turns off

I've never had problems with this phone, until tonight when in the middle of a conversation, the phone went off. I tried to turn it back on, but then it went on off, on off, on and finally off. Now, when I push the on button, the screen flashes for a second, then shuts off. The water strip is still white and I haven't dropped it. What can I do? All the stores are closed now, and I need to call this person back.

I bought a watch for my grandson. It had no instructions. It is from China MFG# FMDAW549. Are there directions available

Possibly these instructions:

http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=110449&rid=0

DIGITAL WATCH USER INSTRUCTIONS May 27, 2006 - 05:59 PM On 5/26/2006 I bought from Walmart a $6.43 watch, on the back of which is written "AH 1175, 52, Battery CR2025, China Module, FMD, Base Metal Bezel, Stainless Steel Back, 100ft Water Resistant". It has no control buttons on top (where buttons may be accidentally pushed), the display is larger and more visible, and the color is dark, so I bought it even though I prefer models that have a fabric/velcro wrist-strap.
Four buttons on this watch are labelled: Light, Mode, Reset, and St/Sp. The instructions which I found inside its container refer to the Light button as A, the Mode button as B, the Reset button as C, and the Start/Stop button as D, but otherwise do not pertain to the watch, so I determined the button's functions by trial and error, as follows:
--
TO SELECT THE DISPLAY MODE
Push the Mode Button in order to select one of the following four display modes in the following order: Normal Time, Stop Watch, Alarm Reset, Time Reset.
In the Normal Time Mode, the Day of Week, the Hour, Minute and Second are displayed (none flash). If the Alarm and Hourly Chime icons are not displayed, the Alarm and Hourly Chime are turned off.
--
TO DISPLAY DAY OF WEEK, HOUR, MINUTE, SECOND AND WHETHER THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIMES ARE ON:
Push the Mode button until no icon is flashing. The Alarm and Hourly Chimes are off if no Alarm or Chime icon is displayed beside the Second display.
--
TO DISPLAY THE DAY, MONTH AND DAY OF WEEK AND WHETHER THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIMES ARE ON:
In Normal Time Mode, push the Start/Stop button. The Alarm and Hourly Chimes are off if no Alarm or Chime icon is displayed.
--
TO DISPLAY THE ALARM TIME
In Normal Time Mode, push the Reset button. The P or A beside the Alarm Time indicates PM or AM time. The P or A below the Alarm Time indicates a 12 hour clock; an H indicates a 24 hour clock.
--
TO STOP/START THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIMES
In Normal Time Mode, hold the Start/Stop button down and push the Reset button (the Date and Day of Week will be displayed) to turn the preset Alarm and Hourly Chimes on, or off (to save the battery). To test the alarm, hold the Reset button down. The alarm and chimes are off when the alarm and chimes icons are not displayed.
--
TO STOP THE HOURLY CHIME
In Normal Time Mode, hold down the Reset button (the Alarm Time will be displayed) and push the Mode button until the Day of Week display is no longer highlighted; otherwise the hourly chime drains the battery.
--
TO SET THE TIME
To Fast/Forward until the correct number is displayed, hold the Start/Stop button down.
To set the Month of the Year, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Month of the Year number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Month of the Year is displayed and push the Reset Button.
To set the Day of Month, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Day of Month number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Day of Month is displayed and push the Reset Button.
To set the Day of Week, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Day of Week display flashes; push the Start/Stop button to until the correct Day of Week is displayed and push the Reset Button.
To set the Hour, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Hour number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Hour is displayed and push the Reset Button. For a 24 hour clock, push the reset button until an H is displayed. For a 12 hour clock, push the reset button until an A or P is displayed.
To set the Second, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Second number flashes. The Second number resets to Zero everytime the Start/Stop button is pushed. If the Start/Stop button is pushed as soon as the Second hand on your computer and watch are the same, the watch will be accurate to one second (to set your computer time to the second, log on to the Internet, right click on your PC's time display, select ADJUST DATE/TIME, INTERNET TIME, UPDATE NOW). The setting of the Second number will not be affected by setting the Minute number afterwards.
After the Second number is set, set the Minute number by selecting the Time Reset Mode and pushing the Reset button until the Minute number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Minute is displayed and push the Reset Button.
--
TO SET THE ALARM TIME AND TURN ON THE ALARM
Choose the Alarm Reset Mode. The alarm is turned on everytime the Alarm time is reset.
To select the Hour, push the Start/Stop button while the Hour is flashing and until the correct Hour is displayed, then push the Reset button (the Alarm and Hourly Chime icons will appear).
To select the Minute, push the Start/Stop button while the Minute is flashing and until the correct Minute is displayed, then push the Reset button.
Push the Mode button after the correct Alarm Time has been selected. The Alarm and Hourly Chime icons will be displayed beside the Second numbers.
The P icon indicates PM. The A icon indicates AM. The H icon indicates a 24 hour clock.
--
TO USE THE STOP WATCH
Choose the Stop Watch Mode. Push the Start/Stop button to begin the lap time. To pause the Stop Watch push the Start/Stop button to stop it and push it again to continue. To reset the Stop Watch to zero, stop the lap time by pushing the Start/Stop button, then push the Reset button (otherwise the Stop Watch will continue counting after other Modes are selected).

Iphone screen locked up, no one has had this problem before. Please help me

Hole the sleepwake and home buttons for 10 seconds until a hard reset initiates.

Restore the hiandset either by going to settings/General and erase all content and settings, forcing a firmware restore.

Wont start up the screen only displays the android logo i've tried pressing the reset button many times but still the same

Try a master reset:

  • Turn off the unit.
  • Plug the unit into an electrical outlet.
  • Take a microSD card out of the slot. (Empty the microSD card slot.)
  • Press and hold down the power button for a few seconds while pressing and holding down the "Home" (Silver Push Button) button. (Both "Power" and "Home" buttons must be pressed down until he see the phrase "upgrade system activated" in the middle of the screen.
  • Release both buttons once the phrase "upgrade system activated" appears on the screen.
  • Wait until it reboots. You will see the following sentences on the left top corner of the screen: Can not find any update image. Press MENU/KEY_VOLUMEUP key to init SD card, Press BACK/KEY_VOLUMEDOWN key to cancel.
  • Press the "VOLUME UP" key. The volume up key is located at the left side of the unit and the button is closer to the built-in camera than the volume down button.
  • Wait until it finishes making a partition and shut down the system automatically.
  • Once the unit is turned off, your system will be reset to the factory settings. Thus, your previous data are lost at this point.

The timer flashes, "no-op". Refuses to turn

no-op means 'no operation.

The manual says last resort to revive non-working timer is RESET timer.
This action will delete current day setting and all programming

Hold down ON/OFF and use paper clip to push in reset button for 2 seconds.
Release reset button but keep holding ON/OFF button down until INIT flashes on screen
Then release ON/OFF button and 12:00 should display.

At this point, timer can be re-programmed.
Simple step by step shows on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html

If timer will not accept programs, or operate after RESET, then timer has gone bad.
ST01C comes with 1 year limited warranty.
Most in-wall timers have same limited warranty.

Replacing timer:
-Advantage of ST01C is timer does not need Neutral wire to operate, and wiring can be simple.
-If you are using ST01C for 3-way switching, then easiest thing is to replace with same timer.
-If you are using timer as astronomic dawn-dusk, then replacements include EJ500, Utilitec 0192773, Aube T1034, T1070, T1072, T1073.
-If you are using timer for 7-day operations then there are numerous options:

Osd lockout flashing in the middle of my screen

This has most likely annoyed many of you at some point. You turn on your monitor one day and see a jeering message telling you something about an “OSD Lockout”. It doesn’t allow you to change any of your monitors settings, including the setting intended to turn off this message. While I’ve only seen this error on HP monitors I know that others have encountered it on other brands as well. The fixes I provide should work on those monitors too. (Note: OSD stands for On Screen Display.)
Fix One: Plug in the monitor and power it up. Hold down the Power button until you get a message saying “OSD Unlocked”. If the problem persists after OSD is unlocked then unplug the monitor from the wall, wait 20 seconds and try again.
Fix Two: Turn on the monitor and hold down the Menu button for 10-20 seconds. This should unlock the OSD.
Fix Three: Turn off the monitor, press down the Menu button and then turn on the monitor. Wait 10-20 seconds. This should unlock the OSD.
Fix Four: The Menu button may be stuck in a pressed in position. To get it “unstuck” you’ll usually need to open up the monitor. This could be tricky unless you know what you’re doing. Unfortunately there are too many models of monitor for me to provide detailed instructions. If you have warranty this is where you want to contact the manufacturer.

I stole the above from a site, thefakegeek
Step one worked for me earlier tonight!

FYI: in future, it would help if you posted model and manufacturer.

Headset does not flash red/blue so I can pair it with my phone

To get it into pairing mode (flashing red and blue) turn the headset off.  Hold the main button down until the light goes red and then off.  Then push and hold that same button and keep holding it even after the blue light comes on.  It will now go into pairing mode, flashing red and blue.  Set your cell phone to find it and it should work.
