4363 projection tv samsung had convergence problem replaced 2 stk ics and 4 resistors and had a black faded line in center of screen and machine back to normal but still have line everything seems clean thanx
no its 3" off top and bottom and wider in some parts than others colour pretty well same .could it be a line in the phosforand if so what do i do thanxno its 3" off top and bottom and wider in some parts than others colour pretty well same .could it be a line in the phosforand if so what do i do thanx

Re: vertical black line
Does this verticl line go all the way form top to bottom or is it about 5-7 in long in the center of the screen and does it some times change in color with the picture.
if its image burn you require new crt's ,contact samsung to see if they wil cover the fault ,they konw about this already/gif its image burn you require new crt's ,contact samsung to see if they wil cover the fault ,they konw about this already/g

Ur tv still have dead resistors parts, test all 12 resistors parts around the 2 STK convergence ICS and changes some more dead resistors parts or changes all 12 resistors parts for sure.If tv still have the same problems after tested and replaces more resistors parts or all 12 resistors parts.Than some how when u handling and replacing the 2 STK convergence ICS and resoldering the 2 STK covergence ICS u short it out the 2 STK convergence ICS by resoldering without proper grounding ur self not to allow for static electricity to kill the 2 STK convergence ICS or u using a soldering iron to high of a wattage for doing soldering ICS work.
No,the tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead.Tv convergence board must be replace the 2 STK convergence ICS and also must test all of the resistors and replaces all those dead resistors too.
The problems ur tv having is call convergence problems,it dead.Tv have mis colors lines R,B,G any parts of the picture, have colors shadows or 3D pictures look alike? The tv convergence board have dead parts 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too. These parts must be replaced on the Tv convergence board to fix it to solved the tv convergence picture problems. The shop, will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead. The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignment, have colors shadows or look like 3D pictures. The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead. These parts on the tv convergence board is dead, must be replaced to solved the tv picture convergence problems. The shop, will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.
Ur convergence are dead.Must know how to solders?Must repalced 2 STK convergence ICS,and some or all it resistors.Go to websites to buy.Tries Tv repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to repair it ur self. The shop will cost u $300 for parts and labors.
This is a convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors.Shops usually charge from $200-$300
When A REAR PROJECTION TV has coloured outlines or a
3D image the Convergence Circuits most likely need attention.
Replacing the output amplifiers (located within the Convergence
IC's) allows the pictures to line up correctly, and no more color
outlines.
This is the most common fault in all makes of rear projection TVs.
Some models of TV require major disassembly and considerable
shop/manufacturer's support to repair because of their design that causes other
power supply or vertical deflection problems. The poorly designed products
require a "bench" repair that can typically cost from $350 t0 $700.
Some TVs are designed for on-site repair and have more reliable circuit design
that does not usually cause damage to other parts of the TV when convergence
chips fail. The ones that usually allow reliable on-site repair are JVC,
Samsung and Hitachi.
It is normal to have some resistors in the circuit burn up or increase in value
from the heat (from 2.2 ohms to 5 or 10 ohms). These resistors must be replaced
with the right value or the chip may fail again.
This is not a simple repair like changing batteries or a fuse. Reading
through the other posts shows many that try and end up with bigger problems.
Your JVC uses STK 392-110 IC's. Misinformed people replace the IC's with
other "new and improved" IC's, like STK 392-150. These are
devices with different characteristics and require different value resistors in
the circuit.Replacing with the STK
392-150 will cause overheating of the resistors and a damaged IC.
If you are in Calgary, I can help. If not, get someone that has experience
working on your JVC. My website is below with some costs and explanation.
Check the resistors in the red convergence circuit right next to the Ics you will need to lift one side of the resistor out of circuit to acurately check them but usually one or two resistors will be opened when the ICs go out
