Picture mostly green

Hello, I have a JVC AV-27D303. I bought it second hand and the picture has suddenly gone to a greenish hue, with some other colors present. There does not seem to be any red.

In that case does this color problem occur on all inputs? If not then please make sure that the connections, especially the red connector, are clean and tight

Replaced T.V. with a new lamp and picture has a greenish hue

Take a good look at screen with color off---if screen is mostly green or all green you may likely have a defective optical light engine.

Sony Bravia 46'' picture has a slight green tint and adjusting the Hue does nothing.

hello!
that could be the t-con to main board cable's problem. first, try to tighten grounding screws.those, which connecting grounding latches of the cable.
You need to open your set. This cable is a thick shielded one with two 30 or so pins plugs. They are NOT interchangeable. In case you try to swap cable's ends. Try to move latches by hand without unplugging connectors, while TV is running. Very gently! If those moving a bit, you may see "greenge" vanishing. Tighten those screws with "phillipls" screwdriver by hand. if there is no difference, you may need to replace that cable. I'm talking about "greenish" ghosts on the picture, intermittent. If I'm wrong, it might be the main board's issue, but always start with small. Main boards are not interchangeable, factory replacement only! Cables-are.
Good luck,
Alex.

Hello
Just make the picture status button on the remote control and get the display setting to its factory mode.

The VIDEO STATUS button gives you a choice of three TV picture display settings, including a
display of your own preferences.
Standard - Resets the picture display to the factory settings.
Dynamic - Heightens contrast.
Theater - Gives a rich, film-like look to video. (AV-27D303, AV-27D203 and AV-20D303 only)
Sports - When you watch a sports program. (AV-27330, AV-27320 and AV-27S33 only)

If lcd set the issue may be with the T con board which is responsible for video and any aberrations that you see on screen.

How do I decrease the amount of green in the picture?

Unfortunately this model has a bad CRT. If is 3-4 years old and the greenish picture is in all inputs, for sure the picture tube is gone. If the picture is green only in component input check the connections for the blue and red cables.
