Samsung Syncmaster 245BW sync problem

check your rgb chord found at the back of your monitor, i think it is color blue chord that connects through cpu and monitor..push it tight and it will display again..

laqbot7000, If you have opened unit, what is the brand name of capacitors (electrolytic's) printed on them. CapXon, Elite, Jun-Fu, are some you don't want to find on the smps board. Are any of the rubber seals pushed out of the bottoms of any capacitors? Is fuse still ok? Did you use a magnifying glass or low power "inspection" microscope(5x - 20x) to possibly find any "thinner than hair" fractured solder connections to component leads soldered to the copper foil circuit traces?? Also "visual" the black bodies of all solid state (transistors, bipolar, mosfet) devices for "burns" and "distortion" from overheating. 12fixlouie

It is a hardware problem. you can repaired it from service center.

Typically this is a driver issue on the host (PC) side. DVI or VGA connection? Update the video driver. Some video drivers (especially older laptops) can't correctly send that resolution.

I'd say your video card is having trouble pushing the resolution of the monitor. I'd upgrade the video card.

Call Samsung. The unit sounds faulty.

These two devices are not compatible, you may need to read the information on this LCD MONITOR to see if the resolutions are compatible, this often times happen when monitors are purchased!

Most of the time when this happens it is due to a bad monitor, if you have another pc try to hook this monitor up to that one to see if it actually works, these monitors sometimes get damaged during shipment!
