I would like to get an extra battery for my sony laptop vaio grz660 , is it possible to charge 2 batteries from ac adaptor at the same time. I can only see 1 slot for the battery. How do you insert 2nd battery? Is there another slot for additional battery?

Thats a no power issue : Remove battery and AC Adapter for 1 minute. Power on system with just the AC Adapter and then try just the battery. If its determined the AC Adapter and/or battery is not the issue.I
f the external monitor shows video the driver/video card is likely not the problem. The system will likely need to be repaired for a possible LCD/LCD Cable issue
To check if the problem is the power adaptor or the Vaio, just have a look at the charger itself and see if the green light on the adaptor itself is on?If yes, then more likely it is working fine. If no light, change the fuse in the plug and try again.
You can also try a static discharge on the Vaio. Please remove all external devices, unplug the adaptor and remove the battery. Put your finger on the power button and hold it for about 30 seconds. Then connect the power adaptor again and try to boot.
You will have to open open your pc memory compartment. Remove and re-install into the socket one after the other if they are two modules ok. If it doesn't work then you have to go for a confirmed working and compatible RAM and substitute for yours. If it still does not display, then try connecting to an external monitor to eliminate the screen as a possible cause. You could also remove the battery and power directly from the main and see what happens. If the pc makes some humming sound while being powered and there is still no display, it then means that the pc motherboard is bad and should be replaced. Good luck
Hey alberto, First off thanks for choosing Fixya.com. The Ac adapter itself could be bad or it could be the dc jack. And also the problem with your cpu fan could also be that the fan has gone out or the motherboard itself needs to be replaced.
Hi Sony battery,
did you mean to say that you battery only remain at 50% and never exceed this amont ??
Normally all the notebook if you keep charging it should come up to 100%, but only a few case that will face the problem
1.problem with battery itself.
2.problem with ac adapter (I face very much problem here not continues power suplly)
3.problem with motherboard the module that deal with charging battery.
