Hi my new delonghi kettle of only two weeks will not switch off whilst boiling, this has only started this morning, it worked fine up until now.

Either the switch or the wire had a bit of a meltdown. The problem isn;t fixing it , it is getting the right switch. Delonchi is not that bad for support so they might be able to get the switch if you can replace it yourself. If you have to send it away then it may not be worth fixing it if you have to pay shipping etc.
I'd be tempted to bypass the switch and just unplug it like other kettles when it boils.

sounds like the element has gone in it. Contact a qualified repair person.
