I lost 60 hrs. of recording time in less than 24 hrs. on VIP 622
I had approximately 110 events loaded onto my Dish Network DVR HD VIP 622 with approximqatley 60 hrs of remaining time. I turned on the DVR this morning and I was down to 83 events and 4 hrs. left of recording time, As far as I can tell no existing events were deleted (I could be mistaken). The majority of movies on my DVR HD are protected as I haven't offloaded them on to my DVD burner yet. I also have a Seagate 500 GB freeagent pro HD attached to the USB port on the back and it has given me no problems, and it almost full of movies.I called Dish Network and they offered no solutions except a reset of my DVR (unplug for 15 seconds and then plug back in). The same data came back up. Apparently there is no second level service at Dish Network any more to help you solve problems.I have received no DVR HD problem messages on screen. Pleae help, thanks. Steve

Connect this external hard disk with your computer and try and search for the deleted content, if you are unable to find the data then backup the data it have. And after data backup format this hard disk and restore the data back to it.

Hi there anil! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH, It is my pleasure to assist you. When watching an already recorded event and having a timer set up to record it should not interrupt your viewing of that DVR event. When this happened, did you get an error message on the screen? And has this happened again? Please reach me at: [email protected] with the details.

You have indicated that you have a 622 DVR receiver, since this is where your posting was found. When you trying any of the DVR functions on the remote, do you get an error message (024 or 311) indicating that the function is not available at this time? If not, try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds from the electrical outlet. This will reboot the receiver and re-acquire the satellite signal. Once the picture returns, try the DVR function. If the problem continues, please call 1-800-333-3474; we may need to replace the receiver. I hope this helps.
The ethernet port is not active on these receivers thus not allowing you to get on ine. There currently are no plans to activate this in the future but you may for an upgrade to a 722 which does allow this and is HD capable and has 300 hours of SD record tine available. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
Mount the dish on a pole or house using a mast perfectly plumb. Ensure it will give you an unobstructed view of the sky based on the information that should have come with the dish regarding your zip code for skew, elevation and azimuth settings. You will now need to run one line from the LNB on the end of the skew arm to your 622. Remember to use a seperater inside or you will need to run another line into the back of the receiver. Run a hardwire off back of the receiver's home distribution port to . Connect a line from 3-4 on back of the receiver to your TV 1. ....More to come if needed drop me another line.
The problem could lie in youir HDMI cable, this is a common issue. if you swap HDMI cables and still have the same problem then bypass your A/v rec and connect your 622 direct to your tv and see if the problem persists, it it does, then your DVR needs to be replaced, you can call dish for addition troubleshooting if it is in fact your DVR.
Ocassionally these receivers have been known to do this. It is not an issue that normally repeats itself however it is very frustrating. The upside is it ussuaaly will result in 150 hrs of record time. If you did not receive the150 hrs delete all timers and recording and reboot the system. You should have the 150 hrs once it comes back online. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
If you have a dish network system as listed in post a DVR 625 this is NOT possible, it will only work with VIP series Dish Network recivers. and they must be used on teh same model reciever such as Vip 722, tranfer to EXT HD then Watch on another 722!
