Typing & viewing text messages on Samsung SGH-A411.

On my new phone when I type a new text message it breaks up the letters within a word. for example I might type ''Hi there. How are you today etc'' and it will type it as say ''Hi there. How ar
e you today''. It puts some letters on one line then the rest on following line. It's also the same when I receive a text. How can I get it so words stay together???

I want my dictionary to remain on predictive text, but I did change it and the problem still remained. I've never had a mobile that's written texts like this before. Thanks anyway

Turn on predictive text on samsung E2210L

It all depends on the model of Samsung that you have.earlier i had samsung SGH-E730, when I write text messages I can opt whether i want regular typing, predictive text, numbers, or punctuation. Once I am in the "Create message" screen, this is controlled by the topmost left hand button. Pressing it switches from normal typing (icon is a capital A, followed by Eng) to predictive text (icon is a stylized T9, again followed by Eng), to numbers (icon is 1) to punctuation (icon is #/).

There is no general setting that controls this.

How can I remome the dictionary , to type text messages

Actually you don't need to remove it, you just have to turn it off. When you type message just click the options button and turn the dictionary/predective text off. Or simply press the either # / * / 0 button (which ever works for your phone) 2-3 times and then check the status after typing and it will be off.

Change text message language in Samsung SGH-U900

Try holding down the # key and a menu should pop up with the various typing styles. I changed mine to T9 abc and it works fine now

Predictive Text?

Go into a message like you are typing a new one. On the left or right soft key, they should be "options" - select that. When in the options menu, look for "typing options", "writing options", or something related to the dictionary. It is in there that you should be able to turn the dictionary on or off, which enables or disables predictive text.

Text Messaging

You need to go to options and take the setting of T9 out. T9 is the setting that will spell out words for you as you go through typing the word.
