Audio problem i formatted and and re installed windows xp on my comp!!!now there seems to be a problem with the audio!!its not at all working!!!help me out!!!

Assuming you have checked the obvious, like it's not muted in the taskbar speaker icon ,You may have a sound chip that isnt supported by xp in the installation. You will need to post the make and serial number or model of your motherboard, so as you can be pointed to the drivers site. To check it is a driver fault, click start>run, then type 'dxdiag' and hit enter, then go to the sound tab and see if there are driver errors, if not then there may well be a hardware problem, if there is then repost the details.

Use the commands
FIXBOOT and
FIXMBR in the
"Repair mode" of Windows XP installation or XP Recovery Console
for vista Recovery Environment or if you have recovery disk/disc you can use it

That error indicates a partition problem, you need to full format your harddisk and removing all partion and do a fresh install. Regarding your Win XP CD, just configure the BIOS to first BOOT to your CDROM

W200 cause a blue screen

First of all: If you install SP2 you don't have to install SP1 over it. It already did. Secondly, don't install SP3, it destroys Windows XP.
Try reinsalling the PC with SP2, install the drivers and do nothing else, see if that helps.

Why cant I Format the hard drive on a dell pc

when the system is u and running normally the comp is using the hardrive to run your computer to format it you must enter the installation of xp and format the disk during the installation process. there is a part of the installation where if theres a o/s on a harddisk it will allow you to format it just make sure you format it to NTFS if will be one of the selections

Want to reinstall windows Xp on compaq presario v 3000

if you have a windows xp disc when you start to install it it will have to format it first by default unless you ask the cd to repair windows in which case it just over writes the files and registry
