Camera I have a problem with the camera that is build in. It is not opening and there is no reason why. It also says the device is working properly. Thank you for your help.

If you have Vista there is a bug, that when you open the camera the cam settings tab pops up but then no camera, so you have to click the camera icon in the settings tab window that pops up and it should work. If you still have problems uninstal the cam in device manager in control panel by right clicking on the camera make and selecting uninstal and restart the notebook to re install it again and try again. If your on XP then uninstall as above and reinstall

What program are you trying to use with you webcam? Is it listed in Device Manager under Imageing Device? Is it Enabled? Is it list as working properly? need more info to make a informed suggestion or to give you a solution.

This error ocurs when you open the case and not replace it properly. It may also occur when a device like a tape drive or camera is attached to the computer and that device is not compatible. You might try reinstalling it but if that does not work, then it may not work with your computer,.

Even with absolutely fresh batteries properly installed, I keep getting a "change the batteries" message, and then the camera shuts down. It worked fine for two years!

Try using a Q-tip and some alcohol to clean the contacts inside the battery housing of the camera - it's possible there's enough build up to prevent a clean connection.

I have purchase a acer 5515 laptop that has a build in webcam, but not sure how to use it.
when you open My Computer, you will see a group at the bottom part which say something like USB Camera Video Device OR like "Scanners and Cameras", double click on it to open, and there you should see your built-in webcam working.

try to use a video chat software like yahoo messenger to see if it works as well

did you install the driver for the webcam ? or just the software try this press your windows key ( by the alt key) and pause break ( uper right corner)
then goto device manager
look for any yellow or red x's probly will be one for your camera or it maybe listed in other devices

If you open your Itunes program then connect your iPod, the Itunes program will wait for any other requests before accessing the device. You can ignore the request as user staam posted, and the ipod will be read from Itunes. If for some reason your device is not asking you for the option of how to open it and not being read from Itunes at all then you will have to reset how it automatically opens the device. You can do this by changing the autoplay settings in the control panel.
Open control panel, select classic view and find the default programs setting. Once there select change auto play settings, and scroll down to the bottom.
You can than change how your attached device acts when plugged in. Or you can set everything as default and that way you will be asked how to open it next time.

Quickcam - Logitech Error
This is a device driver issue,

Assuming you have XP installed and SP2 updates done
(Other OS ie Win 2000,98 ,,,,,,require different procedures)

To reinstall the device follow these steps with disk,

If you have cameras disk,unplug camera from usb port.
Go to control panel then add/remove program,
wait till list builds and select the cameras software,
click ok to remove this software, reboot and restart again.
the OS will automatically find there is no device driver installed and will search for the correct drivers when it notices the device connected to the port,

To reinstall with out disk.

You will have to search the device drivers by Make and Model of webcam,
the supplier of the webcam should be able to lend you some assistance with correct website address or even a manufacturers disk solution,

Alternative is......
the cost of a replacement cam with disk,
is a very cheap solution these days for no more head aches,
make sure its compatible with you OS before you buy....
