I have an unlocked i-Mate k-Jam phone and I'm wondering how I can activate service on it. I currently have Verizon Wireless - is there any way that I can keep that service? Can the store load the needed software?
If not, what phone companies would support an unlocked i-Mate k-Jam?
Unfortunately, due to network configurations, the i-mate k-jam will not work with Verizon Wireless. Accepted networks are those which use GSM systems. These include Suncom, AT&T / Cingular, US Cellular, and T-Mobile.
There is no need to have any additional programs installed on the device in order to work with a network, however each network has specific device settings in order to use the internet feature.

A prepaid phone can be unlocked for use of any other international prepaid ( GSM ) connection only. Anyway, You can unlock a Samsung U360 using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a Samsung U360 from www.Mobileunlocksolutions.com at affordable cost with easy unlocking instructions. All the best mate.
If it is stuck at the activation screen it hasnt been unlocked. The Iphone requires a 2 year agreement to even use the phone. So if you thought you were buying an unlocked version you were conned an unlocked and activated Iphone wouldn't even show an activation screen. If you want to read up on how to unlock and activate your Iphone I suggest readding the helpful guides and free help located here. Clicky
the omnia (factory version) cannot function on verizon. you have to purchase their branded version. the unlocked version uses a different antennae type and network profile to connect to the user's service.
The standard I-Mate K-Jam doesn't support CDMA2000 and so shouldn't be able to connect to Verizon Wireless.
You may find you can get basic voice and text over there older GSM infrastructure but you will not get data.
If you have a Verizon Wireless SIM card then you are a Verizon Wireless customer and therefor entitled to support from them, so why not give them a call and ask if you will be able to get any services on there network with your choice of phone? If you don't have a Verizon Wireless SIM card yet why not ask the salesperson when you go to buy one?
Hope this helps.
