Try a 10 watt 10 ohm resistor across the 5 volt wire red or an orange and to a black, they need a minumum load to work, also you need to tie the grey (power ok to and orange3.3v)

I´m afraid the HP-150SS has a propietary configuration. I have one defective unit (there´s no GREEN wire on it), and researching how to fixit I found this: http://www.roboternetz.de/phpBB2/zeigebeitrag.php?t=6924 It´s in german, but doesn´t matter, check the last picture, it shows the Power On location. Good luck Sazabius

All you have to do is connect the green wire (normally thinner than the rest of the cables) to any black wire. This can be done easily with a short piece of wire. If the power supply doesn?t immediately turn on (within 2 seconds) remove the wire, you may have connected it to the wrong wires, although most power supplies won?t allow a short to damage the unit. Once on, the power supply isn?t loaded so the voltages won?t be as stable as if they were used in a full PC, however it?ll be sufficient for most uses. It?s not a good idea to leave a power supply on in this fashion for a long period of time too."

tried it on my BesteC atx-250-12E. Shorted the green to the black as you showed. NO voltage out on any connector and no fan spinning. Thanks. Fuse internally was still good.
This was from an emachine desktop.
Thanks though!
