The file size for Google maps may be too large for the phone to handle. Or, see if you can find a different location to download it from.

App error 523

Hi there

App error 523 means there was an application that caused corruption to your operating system.
You will need to reload the software to remove this error. It is best to update it as well if you are reloading the data. You can do this by going to this URL and getting the most up-to-date version of your software:

http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Once you download the blackberry device software you can run it on your computer and follow the prompts that it gives you. Once this installation is complete you can connect your phone to your computer and run the desktop manager. It should recognize your phone and then indicate that there is an update for your phone (if you don't already have the newest software on your phone). Make sure that when it prompts you to do a backup that you backup everything. If this does not work the first time try again. If it still will not work you can still reload the data but it is much more complicated. You can post a comment to this if it does not work and I can give you instructions for doing a complete wipe of your handheld and a reinstallation of the software. Good luck!

Hi, I am unable to install Google maps or any application, post download it gives error "invalid JAR file". I want to install games and google maps on my cell.

Here's a quote of someone who had a solution to your problem:

"The Samsung star GT S5233A does not support apps that are directly put into its memory... Find the suitable applications on the internet.. your .jar files.. Upload these to any free wap uploader such as davidpye.com/wap and download them files from that site through GPRS.. there is no other way you can put softwares in it... I've tried the wap uploader method and it works...!!"

I have problem with maps in nokia E71..it doesnt load...

Hi,

If you google maps refuses to load you can get some other applications for google maps on getjar.com, and download
Google Maps for mobile featuring Latitude v. 3. You can follow this link alternatively http://www.getjar.com/products/15897/GoogleMapsformobilefeaturingLatitude

Hope this would serve as an alternative.

App error 523

Yes, it will work fine again. This happens when you ran an application which did not close or corrupted. There is a way to just delete that program and start up your phone. But very complicated. However if you have a backup or are ok with a new fesh phone without your data, then just reinstall your OS.
Install blackbery desktop to your computer.
Download the latest blackberry software from your carrier's web site and install it to your computer.
Launch Blackbery desktop and connect your phone WITHOUT THE BATTERY with the cable and select App Loader and follow the screen prompts. When this finishes you will get a different error on the screen. Just try the above again with the battery in your phone and your phone will be fine again

I want to activate gps in my lgks20 cell phone

My friend I am sorry to tell you this but your KS20 phone does not have a GPS chip in it.

The best you can do is download Google Maps (free) and use the "Get Directions" function to see a map of your location. This will be costly if you don't have a WiFi internet connection as google continually downloads maps to your phone as you scroll around on the maps or zoom in and out.

Regards,
DocM.

GPS Use

Hye! here's how you can take care of this issue: Dowload google maps from the web (for windows mobile) & install it on your diamond. In order to use GPS on this phone, your internet/gprs connection must be functional; without netwrok connectivity you cant use GPS on this device as it does not have the map interface on its chip (& cant be loaded later too). It just has a light GPS transceiver which in presence of a mapping software (such as google maps) can show your position on the globe & in some countires can also navigate you. After installing google maps, make sure your internet connectivity is on and then work with google maps 'USE GPS' & 'My location' or 'Navigate' functions ... enjoy!

Mortorola i880

The Motorola i880 is unable to use this program. Try upgrading to a CDMA phone such as the ic902. The iDEN web services are too slow for google maps.
