I had dropped my mp3 player a few times and it worked afterward but one day i tried to turn it on it wouldnt. i put in new batteries and tweaked the battery springs and that almost seemed to work. the zvue.com popped up as it usually does to turn on but then turned off and wouldnt even do that again. it does have an opening at the top where it had dropped once and thaqt may very well be the problem. i have no idea what to do or what the problem is and will appreciate help. thank you!
If you have a liiittle experience with a screwdriver, try opening it. you may find cableties that are loose... just try very gently to get them back to thei positions and it will work fine.
if this won't do just mail me.

If you can find the program Zorg it is the replacement for Zapp and can convert video files to fit the Zvue units!! You can use Windows media player v 10 or higher for mp3 files and not sure about converting videos to size.
To put music on your zvue spirit mpe player, you will need a computer system that you have music on already. i mean you must have stired some music on the computer system
I believe your zvue spirit player came with a usb cord, connect your zvue spirit mpe player to your computer system.
Go to my computer on the desktop of your computer, right click and open, you will see a drive or an icon representing your zvue spirit mpe player.
right click on it to open and create a folder that you want to store the music on.
Go to your computer system where the music are stored, highlight all and right to copy. Go to the folder you created on your zvue spirit mpe player, open the folder and right click to paste the music you copied from your computer system in it.
Safely eject your zvue spirit mpe player and go to the folder you stored the music to see all the songs.
Use a program called Zorg to create your movie files.
I have not used the Zapp program as I found it well.... stupid. IF you have windows XP or Vista when you connect your zvue you can see it as a device under " My Computer" just open and drag and drop your files onto the system Even better is if you have a SD card reader, you can just copy the files directly into the card in about a 3rd of the time.
Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware. Wizard.
