I have an Acer Ferrari 1000. The LCD fails to come up about 70% of the time after system restart. If it dose come up it will stay running without any problems. My first thought was ?LCD Inverter? however; it is my understanding that the inverter only controls the backlight. If that is true than the LCD should be running even though it is not visible. In my case the computer fails to detect the existence of the installed monitor. Here is the question. Would a failed LCD Inverter on an Acer Ferrari 1000 cause the system to not recognize the installed LCD?
Hi, Your post "Would a failed Inverter on an Acer Ferrari 1000 cause the system to not recognize the installed LCD?" No,the inverter only provides the high freq high volt for the backlight. Monitor/LCD recognition is part of your video/display controller. Pls check your video drivers (ATI Radeon Xpress 1150). Also your Default Monitor Properties. Hope this gives you some idea, Good luck and pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
