Driver for Goldtouch 10-Key Numeric Keypad

Anyone know of a driver for this keypad? I didn't need one when I first plugged it in. It worked for a while, but not it does not. There's no way for me to see if my intel Mac (OXS 10.4.10) even recognizes it. I tried plugging it into another Mac (PowerPC) in our office and works there. Any ideas? Thanks Jeanette

    Thanks, I'll check it out.

Returned the keypad and got another one. It doesn't work at all, in any of the ports. The ports all work because the keyboard and mouse work in each of them.

Guess I will keep looking for a driver, unless anyone has another idea? Thanks.

My Goldtouch keypad stops working every time my iMac goes to sleep.  The only way to make it work again is to unplug it from the USB and replug it into a different spot.  Seems to fix the problem temporarily but it's sure a big aggravation.  Is there a permanent fix to this problem?

Might be your USB port. I see USB ports go bad everyday. They are frail little things.

Cannot use number keys on the right side of the laptop

Hello, Robert -

For most (if not all) computers, in order to use the numeric keypad on a computer keyboard, first you need to have the keypad activated.

To activate the numeric keypad, press the Num Lock button/key (may have a padlock icon stamped on the button, too.)

This YouTube video may prove instructive:

To deactivate the numeric keypad, just press the Num Lock key again.

Best wishes.

The numeric key pad on my keyboard does not work

There's usually a Numlock key that turns off the cursor movement and turns on the numeric keys. If it doesn't say "Num Lock" or something similar, you might need to press the Fn key with the F1-F12 key that looks like a numeric keypad. Pressing the Shift key while pressing a number on the numeric keypad should give a number output if the Num Lock is turned off, the cursor movement if Num Lock is on.

My numeric keyboard is not working, the num lock is on.

Have you tried booting up in safe mode to see if it does the same thing? Also check your keyboard to see if there is some type of key combination that locks or unlocks the numeric keypad. If so, usually you will have to hit the FN key or the ALT key or the CTRL key plus some other key to get it to toggle.

maybe it is full of dust on those buttons. Try cleaning it with a duster of mini-brush because it interrupts the function.
