I have a 1989 yz 250 yamaha.when i try to kick start my bike.all it will do is back fire..**** when i push start it, then it will start and run great.no probelms.then when i kill the engine and let it cool down and try to start it,the samething happens it just back fires can someone let me know whats wromg please.pat
Needle and seat are worn out in carb, to much fuel is flooding cylinder. remove carb, clean, get new needle and seat, set float. problem goes away. pull your plug after kicking. its probably wet.
When you push, or pull start you evacuate excessive fuel, when engine is warm, easier to start extra fuel burns easier.
I have an platina 24,000 km ran, while starting engine back fires and after some time petrol started flooding from carburetor bowl
