How to get sound from the dvd player though the car speakers

1st check your cables are inserted into the subwofer (which is the powersource)
however it sounds as though you have switched the player to mono mode to reset it try this
2. On your remote press the system button with the green ring around it 3. Then press the dts button (number 7) keep pressing it until the auto option appears (watch the little black display screen)
hope fully that should fix it
I am assuming that you no longer have the manual other wise you would have checked in there? But if you do and this does not work try read the first few pages on setting up the sound for your system.

If you have surround speakers with a surround system, then connect the Player to the surround system using for example RCA cables (White and Red).

If you have speakers only, connecting many speakers to a non-surround system won't give you surround.
In surround systems the sound is controlled, elaborated and distributed through the speakers by a circuit.

If you wnt surround sound the alternatives are :

1. Connecting a surround system (eg.Home theater, receiver) to the player (amp+speakers)
2. Upgrading the DVD to one with surround.

Hi, The A7 has 3 sound modes. With the unit on press the speaker button and on the screen it will say either "Headphone sound only" or "Speaker sound enabled". Pressing the speaker button will toggle these modes back and forth. If you don't hear any sound when it says "Speaker sound enabled " it may be that it was wired using the FM Modulator, which means it uses the car speakers. For them to work, turn on your radio and tune it to 87.9 or 88.3. Good Luck!

plug in some computer speakers into the A/V out port. you can also plug in some headphones/ earbuds into it but wont be able to adjust volume, it is at a good listening level though. be sure to use the A/V out port and not the earphone jacks. hope this helps

While I could not find it in the manual, I found that you must
go to the menu, open Sound Options and set Speakers to "Fixed".

Note: If you turn off the Surround Sound or DVD player combination you must then go back to the menu and turn the speakers back to Televsion.

the problem of the tv sound though speaker and the dvd player,have no audio output maybe the input from the receiver is wrong, always patch the line in to the receiver. patch the av cable one by one.pls see at the back of the receiver. note always patch the cable to audio in.

I have the same tv but my dvd surround is a toshiba, that shouldn't matter though. When I watch a dvd I go to component 2 which is where I have my dvd connected on the input of the tv when I watch tv and want the surround on I go to component 1 which is the tv input then on my dvd player I go to auxillary and I can watch tv in surround. I don't know the LG home theatre system but you should be able to select your inputs like between dvd, tuner, aux. Flip between them and you should get sound. hope this helps.

CANNONT RECIEVE SOUND FROM THE FRONT N REAR SPEAKERS WHEN PLAYING A CD/DVD. THE RADIO AUTOMATICALLY PLAYS THROUGHTOUT THE CAR. WHEN SRC DVD/CD IS SELECTED NO SOUND EMERGES. SO I PUT ON THE DUAL ZONE. AND THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE SOUND IS TO HAVE ONE ZONE TUNER, AND THE OTHER DVD. WHEN I REVERSE THEM OF COURSE THE SOUND WILL SHIFT EITHER FRONT OR BACK. IF U CAN HELP ME FIX THIS AND RECIEVE SOUND FROM ALL SPEAKERS WHILE CD/DVD anPLAYING I WILL APPRECIATE IT. THIS IS COUPLE MONTHS NEW. IT WORKED ONCE OR TWICE IDK HOW THOUGH. AND NOW I'VE TRIED IT ALL BUT STILL CANT FIGURE IT OUT. i went into the zone control and turn off the rear and i still have nothing. pleease help

The RCA set on a tv [Red /White /Yellow] are INPUT[ VCR/DVD player] not out put. Hook the speakers up the the 3,5mm earphone jack though you will need a conveerter plug like this

I believe I understand what you're asking here. To the best of my knowledge sony puts a special type of connector on the reciever end of the speaker wire which will probably not be compatible with any other reciever brand. Depending on the age of your system, the speakers may not even be compatible with the new Sony models. Wait...there's good news though. Whatever reciever/DVD player you decide on, there will surely be speaker outputs and if you snip of the Sony connector and strip the wire a bit, you shouldn't have a problem. A couple of other things to consider though... A conventional standalone DVD player may not have outputs for five speakers and a sub. That sounds more like a dedicated reciever. I have a crazy suggestion but you might save yourself some money and trouble. -If you are satisfied with the speaker portion of your current system, buy a cheap DVD player, run the video out to the TV, the audio out to the AUX audio in on your current system and use it for sound only. Hope something in here helps.
