Question about D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G DI-624 Wireless Router (DI624RE)

I held the reset button and completely lost the device.

Somebody suggested that I reset the device by holding the reset button for about 20 seconds. I did that and lost the device completely. Now my wireless doesn't work at all and all the lights on the router ar blinking non stop. I was just trying to login as admin to set security, and now I have no wireless at all.

Unplug the device from the power. Wait a short time and plug it back in. Now hold the reset button for about 4 seconds. Let it sit for a second. Cycle the power on the device again. Now go to the router login page through internet explorer. The address will be something like 192.168.1.1 (to to start, run, then type cmd. Inside the command prompt type ipconfig. The address of your router is listed under "default gateway") Now type that address into internet explorer, enter in the default username and password for the router and you will be into the system. Then just turn back on the wireless functions and security. If you do not have the default username and password for your router please contact me at [email protected] and I will look it up for you. Reset Roku without Remote:

Soft Reset

From Menus (Newer Models - 4, Premier, & Ultra)
1. From the Home screen, select "Settings" > "System" > "Power" > "System restart".

Using Button (Older Models)
1. Find the "Reset" button on the back or bottom of the device. Some models will require a paper-clip to press the button.
2. Press the button, then release after about one second. The device should reset successfully.

Power Pull If none of the above soft reset options work for you, you may need to disconnect the power cord for about 20 seconds, then plugging it back in.

Hard Reset

A hard reset will clear all settings from the device and reset it to factory defaults.

Via Menu (Newer Models - 4, Premier, & Ultra) If a soft reset doesn't fix your problem, a hard reset may be your only option. This will clear all data off the Roku and reset it to factory default settings.

From the Home screen, select the following depending on your device:
1. "Settings" > "System" > "Advanced system settings" > "Factory reset".
2. "Settings" > "Factory reset" > "Factory reset" > "Yes".

Using Button (Older Models)

1. Remove all cables except the Power cord.
2. Press and hold the "Reset" button on the back or bottom of the device for about 20 seconds. Some models will require a paper clip to press the button.
3. Continue to hold the "Reset" button, then remove the Power cord from the back of the unit.
4. Release the "Reset" button, then plug all of the cords back into the device.
The Roku should factory reset, then walk you through the setup process again.

My SM-T550 is completely frozen.


Soft Reset

If the device is frozen or unresponsive, try pressing and holding the “Power” button for about 20 seconds. This should force the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to restart normally.

Hard Reset

A hard reset will set the device back to factory default settings and erase all data on the device. This is normally done when troubleshooting methods prove to be fruitless.

Option 1
1.With the device powered off, press and hold the “Home” and “Volume Up” buttons while powering on the device using the “Power” button.
2.The Recovery Screen will appear. Use the volume buttons to toggle the highlighted selection to “wipe data/factory reset“. Press “Power” to select it.
3.Highlight “Yes — delete all user data“, then select “Power” to choose the selection.
4.Once the reset completes, you will be prompted to “reboot system now”. Choose this selection to restart the device.

The hard reset is complete.

You can first try doing what's called doing a Soft Reset. It's the first and preferred method to try as you don't lose any files or settings. Hold the power button until the Nook turns itself off. In most cases that will be twenty seconds or more. Then turn the power back on by holding the power button down for about two seconds. Hopefully this will allow you to complete a normal boot process. The second and more dramatic way to get a working Nook back is what's called doing a Hard Reset. This process will put your Nook back to "Just Out of the Box" mode. You will lose any files and settings stored internally inside the Nook itself. The good part in all this is it won't touch anything stored externally on your external SD Cards. To do a Hard Reset Turn the NOOK off completely. Hold the Power button and Home (n) buttons. The device will turn on. Continue to hold both buttons until the device shuts off once again (~15-20 seconds). Turn the device on normally. It will prompt for a factory reset. Press the Home button twice to confirm. ------- The important part in the above is to be sure you start the Nook via holding down both the power button and the Home (n) buttons at the very same time and keep them both pressed down until the Nook turns itself off.

This is how to do a HARD RESET - Means Factory fresh.

Nook won't go past turn on screen


You need to do what is called a HARD RESET.
This resets your Nook back to factory (Just Out of the Box) defaults.
It will erase your internal storage but will not touch any external sdcard.
Turn the NOOK off completely. Hold the Power button and Home (n) buttons. The device will turn on. Continue to hold both buttons until the device shuts off once again (~15-20 seconds). Turn the device on normally. It will prompt for a factory reset. Press the Home button twice to confirm.

You have tried all the usual resets?
Turn the NOOK off completely.

Turn the device on normally. It will prompt for a factory reset. Press the Home button twice to confirm.

However that said, it sounds like you have a hardware fault, maybe screen connector or screen itself. Not really economically repairable in my opinion

To perform a hard reset, use the stylus while pressing into the reset hole, press the power on/off button at the same time. Screen will prompt you to press the Green call and Red end call button together to confirm on hard resetting the device. Hard resetting the device will cause the device to be reset back to its original factory default settings and all data will be lost.

HP LaserJets - Cold Reset Instructions Cold resetting a printer resets the printer to factory defaults. Please note: Any settings you make at the printers control panel will be reset to factory defaults, including the IP address if you have a JetDirect card installed. Remove the JetDirect card while you cold reset the printer if you don't want to erase the JetDirect card's settings.

You can also reset the NVRAM. Resetting the NVRAM will clear the page count and reset the service mode settings to factory defaults. On printers with a display panel you need to enter service mode to manually change the information stored in NVRAM. On printers that don't have a display panel, such as a 5P, 6P, 2100, 2200 there is a different procedure outlined below.

Cold resetting the printer is simply a matter of turning the power off, holding down the GO or Online button while turning the printer on.
Resetting NVRAM settings must be done manually through service mode. See entering service mode.
"Newer" printers with a display panel. (e.g. 2300, 2400, 4200, 4250/4350, 4300, etc.)

Turn the printer off and then on. When the printer begins its memory count, press and hold down the Checkmark button until all the main LED signal lights illuminate and stay illuminated. Then release the Checkmark button, and use the Up/Down arrow keys to find the Cold Reset option, then press the Checkmark button again to choose that option.
Printers with no display panel.
HP 1100, 1200 - While the printer is on, press and hold the Go button for 5 seconds. This will reset the printer.
To reset the NVRAM. Turn the printer off. Press and hold the Go button for 20 seconds while powering on the printer.
HP 2100 - To perform a cold reset, turn the printer power off, then press and hold the JOB CANCEL button. Turn the printer power back on and after all the LEDs come on release the JOB CANCEL button. A cold reset changes most system parameters in NVRAM to the factory defaults. The JOB CANCEL button must be released within 20 seconds after all of the LEDs come on; otherwise, an NVRAM initialization is performed instead of a cold reset.
HP 2200 -
Cold reset:
1. Turn the printer power off.
2. Press and hold GO.
3. Turn the printer power back on and continue to hold GO until the Attention light turns on.
4. Release GO.
5. The device lights will begin cycling from front to rear. The cold-reset process will run until completion and the device will go to the ready state.

NVRAM Reset:
1. Turn the printer power off.
2. Press and hold GO.
3. Turn the printer power back on and continue to hold GO until the Attention, Ready, and Go lights turn on.
4. Release GO.
5. The device lights will begin cycling from font to rear. The NVRAM initialization will run until completion and the device will go to the ready state.
HP 5P & 6P
Cold reset:
Turn the power off and hold the reset button (button closest to the back of the printer) for LESS than 20 seconds while turning the printer on.
Reset the NVRAM:
Turn the power off and hold the reset button for MORE than 20 seconds while turning the printer on..

Lost wireless connection


if:

if the power light is blinking, a little bad news because the router is now showing a sign of defectivity, a firmware upgrade could be a solution.

you may try to reset it this way:

Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, once you reach the 25th seconds, unplug the power then put it back in right on the 30 second, then release the reset button, wait for another 20 seconds then unplug the power from the router, after around 5-10 seconds plug it back in.
