Unplug the device from the power. Wait a short time and plug it back in. Now hold the reset button for about 4 seconds. Let it sit for a second. Cycle the power on the device again. Now go to the router login page through internet explorer. The address will be something like 192.168.1.1 (to to start, run, then type cmd. Inside the command prompt type ipconfig. The address of your router is listed under "default gateway") Now type that address into internet explorer, enter in the default username and password for the router and you will be into the system. Then just turn back on the wireless functions and security. If you do not have the default username and password for your router please contact me at pctser[email protected] and I will look it up for you. Good Luck Peter

Reset for most routers with a reset button on the rear panel
Write down configuration information such as IP addresses, security keys, opened ports and services, etc., that you modified. (The default username is admin and the password is either password or 1234. Try these before resetting the router.)
  1. Press the reset button on the back until the test light blinks. This takes about 10 seconds. (To avoid accidental resets, the small button is recessed. Use a pen or paperclip to access it.)
  2. Release the button.
  3. Wait for the router to reboot.
  4. Log in with the default password. If the router configuration was not cleared, try these additional steps AFTER the router has finished rebooting.
  5. Unplug the router's power.
  6. Press and hold the reset button. While the button is held down, reconnect router's power.
  7. Continue to hold the reset button for 20 seconds after reconnecting the power.
  8. Wait for the router to reboot.
  9. Log in with the default password.

I have lost manufacturers manual on my BMW 325ci 2001 model. i only require pages relating to the programing of automatic garage door thank you

NOTE: Some vehicles may require the ignition to be turned on or to the second (or"accessory") position for programming and/or operation of HomeLink. It is also recommended that a new battery be replaced in the hand held transmitter of the device being programmed to HomeLink for quicker training and accurate transmission of the radio frequency. Please use a ladder and do not stand on your vehicle during the programming steps for a rolling code opener.

Rolling Code Programming:
1. Press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons until the indicator light begins to flash (after 20 seconds). Do not hold for longer than 30 seconds. Do not repeat this step to program additional HomeLink buttons.

2. Place the hand-held remote 1-3 inches from the HomeLink button you want to program.

3. Simultaneously, press and hold both the HomeLink and hand-held remote buttons. Do not release either button until step 4 has been completed. (If you reside in Canada, refer to the "NOTE" below.)

4. When the indicator light changes from a slow blink to a rapid flash, release both buttons.

5. At the garage door opener receiver (motorhead unit) in the garage, locate the"learn" or "smart" button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached).

6. Press and release this "learn" or "smart" button. (The name of these buttons vary by manufacturer.) There are 30 seconds in which to initiate step 7.

7. Firmly press, hold for two seconds, and release the programmed HomeLink button. Do this procedure again and, depending on the make of your garage door opener, do this procedure a third time to complete the procedure.

The garage should now activate when the programmed HomeLink button is firmly pressed and released. If not, give us a call or refer to the "Troubleshooting Tips" noted below. NOTE: If you reside in Canada, replace step three with the following: Press and hold the desired HomeLink button and "cycle" the hand-held remote. To cycle: Press and release the hand-held remote button every two seconds until the indicator light changes from a slow blink to a rapid flash(step four).

Troubleshooting Tips:

** Check the frequency of the garage door opener's hand-held remote (usually found on the back). HomeLink is compatible with radio-frequency devices operating between 288-399 Mhz.

** Put a brand new, store bought battery in the hand held remote. During the programming process (step three above) the battery's energy tends to drain (more so with an older battery). A new battery will increase the speed and accuracy in which the hand-held remote sends its signal to HomeLink.

** Retrain HomeLink holding the hand-held remote at different lengths and angles from the HomeLink button you are trying to program (during programming step three). Try 4-6 inches away at a different angle.

** Confirm that the HomeLink button you are trying to program is in the "programming mode". Press and hold the desired button. The indicator light will be a slow blink when HomeLink is in the "programming" mode and can be programmed at any time.

Verifying HomeLink has picked up a rolling code signal:

** Press and hold the programmed HomeLink button. If the indicator light blinks rapidly for two seconds and turns solid, HomeLink has successfully picked up the rolling code signal. If necessary, proceed with steps 5-7 noted above to complete the rolling code programming.

Can't access D-link DI-614+ as admin

Direct from the D-Link FAQ's
This reset procedure applies to the following devices:
DI-704  DI-704P  DI-713  DI-713P  DI-714P+  DI-804HV  DI-808HV
  • Step 1 Power the unit off by unplugging its power adapter.
  • Step 2 Insert a paper clip in to the reset pinhole. Press and hold the reset button with light pressure.
  • Step 3 Power the device back on by plugging it in. Continue to hold the reset button.
  • Step 4 Watch the lights on the front of the gateway. The M1 & M2 should come on solid. When the M1 & M2 begin to blink slowly, release the reset button.
The unit will reboot itself and should be at factory defaults. If the M1 light is not blinking about once per second, recycle the power on the gateway.
If the M1 & M2 continue to blink rapidly, you held the reset button for too long. Power the device off and repeat the reset procedure. The default IP address is 192.168.0.1. The default username for our routers is admin. The password is blank. If your router asks only for a password, use admin (lower-case).
The following reset procedure will completely restore the default settings on your D-Link device including your password. This procedure applies to the DI-514, DI-524, DI-604, DI-614+, DI-624, DI-754, DI-764, DI-774, DI-784, DI-804V, DWL-700AP, DWL-800AP+, DWL-900AP+, DWL-1000AP+, DWL-2000AP, DWL-2100AP, DWL-6000AP, DWL-7000AP, and DWL-7100AP.
  • Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
  • Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
  • Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
  • Step 4 Release the Reset button.
  • Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
  • Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure.
The default user name for most D-Link devices is admin and the password is left blank.
When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds.

Home link system program?

  1. Turn off the engine.
  2. Erase the factory test codes by pressing buttons 1 and 3. Release the buttons when the two green lights begin to flash (about 20 seconds ).
  3. Choose one of the three buttons to train. Position the end of your hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches (5-14 cm) away from the lower left corner of the EVIC display while keeping the display in view.
  4. Simultaneously press and hold both the desired Transmitter button and the hand-held transmitter button. After a short time, the message TRAINING will show on Transmitter display. Do not release the buttons until the message TRAINED appears on the display (this may take as long as 60 seconds ), release both the Transmitter and hand-held transmitter buttons.
  5. Press and hold the just-trained Transmitter button. TRANSMIT should appear on the display. If your device activates when the Transmitter button is depressed and released, programming is complete. To train the other buttons, repeat the process. Be sure to keep your hand-held transmitter in case you need to retrain the universal transmitter. NOTE: If the message TRANSMIT appears on the Transmitter display but your device does not activate, the device may be equipped with a "rolling code" system. Continue with steps six through eight below to complete the programming of a rolling code equipped device (most commonly a garage door opener).
  6. At the garage door opener receiver (motor-head unit) in the garage, locate the "learn" or "smart" button. This can usually be found where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the motor-head unit. Firmly press and release the "learn" or "smart" button. (The name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer.) NOTE: There are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step.
  7. Return to the vehicle and firmly press, hold for two seconds and release the programmed Transmitter button. Repeat the "press/hold/release" sequence a second time, and, depending on the brand of the garage door opener (or other rolling code equipped device), repeat this sequence a third time to complete the programming process.
  8. Transmitter should now activate your rolling code equipped device. To program the remaining two buttons, simply repeat the process.

The sound in my MP3 player will not come back on

I had trouble with my system cutting out, and then I couldn't turn the thing back on again, completely unresponsive. I came here looking for solutions and someone said to hold the power button for about 20 seconds to reset the system. I held it and counted 13 and the system came to life. It's playing Metallica right now, no worries. So try holding the power button for about 20 seconds to reset the system to see if that works.

Isn't it great how we spend 100's of dollars on these toys, then have trouble getting them to work?!?!

Good luck
