Hopefully this will help. I have the same problem with my Muvo Slim, have tried to turned it on several times but wouldn't work. Until I downloaded and installed the firmware from creative.com, and then my old Muvo Slim work properly now.

try reseting it there should be a small pinhole on the back press and hold that for about 10 seconds if this wont work try putting it into recovery mode
Detach your player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.
If the player stops responding, you can reset the player. To reset
the player, gently insert a thin object into the Reset hole located
below the power switch.
Press and hold the Play/Pause button while powering on your player.
When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.
It will display the following options:
Clean Up
Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.
Does not affect music files themselves. Format (All)Caution! Erases all content!
Save a copy of your player's content before formatting. Reload OS/ FirmwareCaution! Erases your player's firmware. DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. Reboot
Reboots the device.
If it wont let you turn it up its a simple problem its the connection inside take it back its the only way unless u can take the mp3 apart and reconnect it
Your battery might be shot. It's a possibility, but if that is not the case then your player might have short circuted or something. but most likely case is that your battery is shot.
Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.
try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update
I`ve had the same problem twice, it seems the player erases the whole firmware when this happens. You can fix this by plugging it to your computer in recovery mode, this will allow you to reinstall firmware.(Search google for zen nano plus recovery mode to find instructions.)
