Hi. Inactive feature often means that there's a problem with your connection to the call pilot. Do you have lights on your call pilot? Did you assign a mailbox to the extension you're working on? Did you remember to connect the call pilot to a station port?

When I am downloading a film...I leave my PC on but when I go back to it after about half an hour it has switched itself off stoopping my download can you help please ty mike

There is little info on your problem but I think you mean the screen went black while downloading a film. Normally computer monitors turn themselves off (dormant) to save energy and the life of the monitor's screen if not used for 10 or 30 minutes, depending on the settings, but the download just keeps going. Mine is set to 10 minutes. All you have to do is disturb the Mouse and see if the monitor screen switches itself on. There is another power saving option, and that is the Computer itself. If the computer is not used for one hour, it too goes dormant, but can also be set to switch itself completely off after the download is completed. However, if a computer is left on for over an hour, it can switch itself off to save energy and the computer's own wear and tear. It all depends on the computer hardware and the settings. If it is hardware controlled, then it may or may not switch itself off but it still goes dormant. Or it can be set to whatever you wish it to do, stay on all the time, go dormant after a set time or switch off if there is no prolonged activity.

My dish network guide does not update. random time slots say "No info available". I unplugged the receiver and the machine rebooted, but the guide did not change.

Check if your phone line to the receiver is working via the phone line. Make sure the receiver is correctly programmed for your phone service (outside line prefix if needed, rotary or pulse dialing.

Are updates enabled? The program guide is downloaded overnight when the receiver is off. If the unit is on, the updated information may not be downloaded. You can reset the time that this download will occur (it will turn off automatically at the scheduled time if not disabled). (Menu - 8 - 5 is the appropriate part of the menu on one receiver to set the time and enable the feature.)

You can also use the Inactivity Standby feature on some receivers to get the program guide if you leave the unit on all night. (Menu > Preferences > Inactivity Standby) By default a prompt will ask you if you want it to go to the standby mode after 4 hours of no activity (remote or front panel).

How long did you have the unit off when you rebooted it? Try leaving it unplugged for 15 seconds (no trickle power).

I hope this helps.

(if the phone line is working and the updates are enabled, contact DISH for additional troubleshooting help.)

Free solution (SIM)unlock E900
Here follows the free solution to (SIM)unlock a Samsung E900, which worked for me.
- NSdongle crack + D800 USB datacable (PCB120BBE)
- Select C200 model
- Select right COM port (Windows XP -> Devicemanager -> Ports (COM&LPT))
(Not the COM port which you can find under 'Modems')
- Press 'UNLOCK'
And your Samsung E900 is unlock! (Well, mine was)
(Thanks!! to BouRRi GSM, who wrote it somewhere on this forum)

This is my modem log any ideas for a solution to my random DC's

The router actually has major issues. First, check the power cord to make sure that it's operating in the right voltage.

If it is, then through the command line type tracert followed by a website. If there is no response from the first address, then it will not detect the router.

If this happens, change the router.

Compaq Presario R4000 Notebook won't boot

Seem to be a problem with your power switch doing malfunction or bad motherboard connector or your computer has been setting at hibernate mode. Check those settings going to >> Start >> Control Panel >> Power Options..........Set your droplist to "never: and also UNCHECK the hibernate mode.

Another tip, take out the battery, and see what happen (only connected with AC)

These advertisement trojans are particularly hard to get rid of. The reason is that when one opens it hides several others that are inactive and usually undetectable. These lay dormant until they notice that the others are not working any longer, then one or two will open and hide more, but they will not all open. The reason that they are so hard to contain is that they lie dormant in all types of files, even picture files. When you think you've gotten rid of them, about a week or so later it starts all over again. Unfortunately, and I know you don't want to hear this, the only sure way to get rid of this is to wipe the hard drive and start fresh. Keeping any old files from your hard drive may reinfect the new system.

Some models of PIONEER cd players had radio frequency problems that caused them to work on and off. Are you near any radio or braodcast towers? Poorly shielded power supplies cause this as well. A weak laser diode in the pick-up assembly in model runs could be the problem. You might want to Google the model number and see if this is common for these units.
