Pikish Hue and curved colored lines

After the TV warms up for 10-15 minutes, the screen goes pinkish with red and green curved lines throughout. You can still make out the picture, but it is clouded. The problem appears to be getting worse - meaning it takes less time to cloud up.

Sounds like the convergence amp are heating up and going out. you can look for the amps and see if there is a loose connection on the trace and if you can solder you may be able to save them or just replace amps with orginal. This is sometimes caused by moving set around, Set being so heavy it can not take a joult like the direct view sets

Tv screen is high in green color what settings do I need to be on

If your TV has a color temperature setting; it is probably on medium. Try it on warm. This will decrease the amount of green and increase the red.

Otherwise you will need access to the tint/hue controls; adjusting it more toward red will help.

MY SONTY WEGA TRINITRON HAS A PURPLE HUE AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. ALSO THE CHANNEL DISPLAY WHICH IS NORMALLY GREEN ON COLOR IS NOW A RED COLOR

Hi,
This kind of problem occurs if tv screen got hit by some thing that damage internally and its irreparable, second possible cause is magnetic field nearby screen, please check any speaker or some thing that has magnet inside around tv, remove it from tv to fix purple hue at top of screen.
Unplug tv from AC wall socket for 20-25 minutes, replug back in and turn it On, this will demagnetize screen to cure the problem.

For the past week my on my colot tv, everything has a pinkish hue to it . i have played with brightness, contrast, color hue, etc; but cannot get nice color; can see colors but background is washed out and...

It looks like degausing problem. You have taken some pocket radio or magnet near your TV. Mostly in the corners it will appear.

If so,
Try your TV in a different orientation. East to West or............

Try switching on the Tv in this position . Do not use remote. Switch off wait for thirty minutes. Again repeat. The auto deguasing will remove this. But you have patiently do this.

Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop-6'' Red Vertical Line

The color red and especially red colored lines or a pinkish hue are indicative of an impending screen failure. The only other possibility is that the data cable on the left backside of the lcd panel may be loose at the socket or on the motherboard. 9 times out of 10 though, it is the lcd panel that it failing.

White has turned pinkish

sounds like the linear adjustment is out of whack.....most projection type tvs, projection, lcd, plasma, have to be correctly aligned so that the color grids overlap each other to properly display the correct hue being created. you'd need the service code to re-adjust it, or have it serviced. also possible that one of the color grids is bad, but if you have all three (red, blue, green) colors showing on the entire screen area i would doubt it

I have a KP-65WV700 and the screen looks a lil to green

OK, I'm the guy that was having the same problem, but had a blue tint to the screen. I also had blue lines running across the screen, and when I followed the steps below that were posted by another user not only did the lines disappear, but the blue haze vanished as well. My tv looks like it's new again, so you may want to try this:

I have fixed this several times on my KP 65WV700

As Slinteriors posted if it is a thin curved line you need to adjust the screen control, it's sorta like a brightness for each color, and if one color is too high it will produce a thin curved line.

The best way I have found to get to the controls is by removing the lower grey speaker cover front the front of the TV. There are 6 screws if i remember, 3 on each side. Then it snaps off, seems like its going to break but you have to pop it off pretty good.

Once its loose you have to remove a cardboard like cover plate in the center that will give you access to the small controller board.

Now be very careful while experimenting on which knob controls which colors. Turn them very slow, if you turn to fast you will cause your TV to shut down. If this happens, turn the adjustment back to original spot and turn TV back on and take it slow.

Adjust the correct color until the line just goes away. Its easiest to do this with a black screen.

Colors No longer True

If you are using the component jacks (red, blue, green, red and white) to connect the DVD player to the TV then check that all cables are securely pushed all the way into the jacks on both the DVD player and TV. I have been called to several houses with that exact complaint only to find that those heavy 5-conductor component cables have pulled themselves halfway out of the jacks.
