Hello,
Depending on how much disk space you have left onyour hard drive, Microsoft Home and Student requires at least 1.5GB offree space. I've posted the minimum system requirements below, you willneed these to run Office Home and Student 2007.

Minimum Requirements: (View on Microsoft Website)

500mhz Processor
256 Memory (RAM)
1.5GB of Free Space (Hard Drive)
CD/DVD Drive
Display: 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack (SP) 2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, or later operating system

Your HDD is full . Delete all unnecessary files . You can go to My computer , right click on C , select properties \ disk clean up .

I am on Ms Windows XP Professional with Ms Word 2007. An error message says " there is not enough memory or disk space to run word". Expect a solution on line free of charge.

Most probably your users' profile is corrupt!!
Try this,
1. Created a new user profile
2. Use windows cleanup to delete old files.
3. Restart PC and use new account.
4. Works...?? when you open Winword?
5. Then use your newly created account.

** Don't forget to backup your necessary data first

I use Microsoft Office profession plus 2010, when I open a word file, I get a notice " There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word". My desktop use Win 7, CPU 2.5GHz. Who can hepl me?? Thanks!

Clean up your disk space.
Go to Start Menu Search Bar and write down "Disk Cleanup" ,click on it to start the program,Select the drive you want to clean.In most cases C:\Drive and make a cleanup.The program will scan for unnecessary files.Next click on cleanup system files.
After you free up space on C:\ Drive ,word will work just fine.

Hi,
do you have other applications running in the background? Close them down, also the Internet explorer. Check in the taskmanager that you have no other application running and try to start the application again.
Check the available space on your drive c:
Is Microsoft Office installed on a server then the server maybe running out of space and you should report this to the server administrator.

--Please make sure your system has minimum following configuration
CPU 700 Mhz
Ram 512 MB
HDD 4 GB free
--Use good Antivirus to scan system
--Repair OS before reparing Office

Not enough space or memory to run Word 12.0

Could you please let me know what operating system present on your PC?

Antivirus/Firewall and other spyware/adware utilities present on your PC.

I would suggest you to make a complete uninstall of MS OFFICE (including all components of Ms Office 2003 & Ms Office 2007 if present anyone ) then go for fresh installation of MS Office 2007.

Let me know if the problem still persists. Dont vote till you get the solution for this problem.

There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word .

You probably have more that one partition.When installing choose the partition that is free.

YOu can also run diskcleanup if this does not work.Start,all programs,accesories,system tools, diskcleanup
