1990 corvette bose gold series stereo malfunction. How to remove to send to Bose for repair.Dont want to damage dash besels.

The trim is held in by sprung clips. Pry gently at the edge/corner with a small screwdriver until you can get your fingers behind it. Pull straight out. Here are instructions from autozone.com:

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Radio Control Assembly

Disconenct the negative battery cable.
Remvoe the shift lever knob.
Remove the console trim plate.
Remvoe the center air duct.
Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
Unfasten the upper right corner console right hand trim pad-to-carrier screw.

Unfasten the bolts/screws securing the radio control assembly. Pull the radio partially for access to the electrical connectors, then unplug the connectors and remove the radio control assembly from the vehicle.

See Figure 1

Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Infiniti i30 bose stereo volume will not change

spray electronic contact cleaner in the sides of the volume control. its just dust making it not work.

While radio is turned off spray electronic contact cleaner behind volume knob while rotating knob . Make sure you have rag handy .

there are only couple options. pull radio and send to shop for repair, purchase used radio from good junk yard. or call dealer and see if there is a warranty on it. even though its 6 yrs old they may help. what they do at the dealer is an exchange
