yeah my xbox 360 does the same thing theres a software that fixes that you have to go with someone that burns games for xbox just asked for the software that converts the xbox so it can read games use that if you buy the software. the way it works you have to put the cd in the xbox before you put the game that you bought but every time you want to play the game you have to put the software disc then you put your game than it will work
I ahd this problem with COD: MW2 i put the disk in and it came up saying can't read this. So i left it in and thinking nothing of it turned the xbox off went back to it a couple minutes later and it started no problem.
So put the disk in turn the xbox off and back on then it should load the game fine.
If your Xbox 360 is not playing games then this is because of the sensors on the back of the DVD drive are overheating, to stop it you need to stop the heat build up.
I had this problem on my first Xbox. In my case it was caused by the disk reader burning out. Call Xbox customer support, you should be able to send it in for a replacement.
take the hard drive off of the old xbox and put it on the new one and get a memory unit and put all the game saves on the memory unit put the new hdd on and transfer the saved games from the memory unit on to the new hard drive and there you go.
